I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Tried to spend +$500 online this week but order was declined, then tried to use at restaurant today and declined again. Never received any notice there was an issue, so called them just now and was advised the fraud department closed at 4 pm PDT. Not sure if they'll open tmw with it being 4th of July (rep wasn't sure). As one of the largest banks in the country, would assume they'd be open 24/7, or at least until evening, for these issues.
So just a warning if your card gets declined, there's a chance you might not be able to fix and use again for a day or two.
I've spent about $4500 in the first 3 weeks. No issue at all.
It's so weird, I signed up this card in local branch, banker told me the 100k promotion. But when I checked the chase app today, the information above spending process bar shows 80K bonus with 4K? Is app wrong, or banker signed me wrong offer?
Just for an update to all for those worried about if you'll actually be getting the better offer in branch.
My wife applied in branch in the middle of June and got expedited shipping for the card.
We spent the 4k immediately the day we got the card (Had several big expenses waiting)
Our Ultimate Rewards portal shows we've hit the spend needed to get 80k points. Our progress bar shows 80k.
However, as of July 1 it shows that we'll be getting 104k+ points on the next statement. This means that we will be getting the 80k + 20k (bonus) + 4k+ (spend)
We haven't used the card on groceries yet so I can't confirm this one. But others have confirmed it's working.
Lastly, I don't see an annual fee charge.

Yes, on the paper disclosure it only mentions 80k pts and $50 credit. I don't see an extra 20k in points mentioned in the paper disclosure.
Furthermore I'll add... On the Ultimate Rewards page, I see in top middle "You did it! Your 80,000 bonus will be added to your points balance as of your next statement on xx/xx/xx." However, just left of that message on the UR page, I see "+104,xxx points with your next statement" instead of +80,xxx. So that leads me to believe that we're getting the 20k separately. We haven't gotten the points yet since the statement is in a week.
Hope that helps!

From my posts above it only shows 80k, but try looking to the left of the progress points for how many points you're actually receiving in your next statement. Mine said 104k+.
I applied on Friday evening in branch and got a 2-week response which is also what it tells me on the phone when I call to check the application. Does this mean a decision was reached and they're mailing me a rejection more likely? Anyone get approved days later after a 14-day-by-mail message?

Mine said 7 days, despite being approved for it already per the Chase app when I signed in to my other accounts. Supposedly 7 days is typically a rejection but I applied late Friday night and by early Monday morning got an email saying my new card would be on its way. Not sure what the issue was, credit score is about 800 and have had a Freedom card for 16 years now. No late payments ever on anything.
My property tax is due in about 10 days, I know they charge 2.3% for using a Credit Card so it would be about $60 more on my Prop Tax cost. But I would get 1% back for using the CSP card and this would count towards $4k, correct?
2-weeks generally means approved. Just be a bit patient and call to check the status a couple days later.

Yes. Paying tax to IRS will count towards your minimum spend. To play it safe, just make sure you call Chase to set your cash advance to $100 before paying your tax online.

I'm not sure much is being done on applications over the 4th though.
+1. Same issue

Too late. Not possible.

This is why the OP should revise thread saying apply in branch for most bonus at the very top.
