I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Trying to understand your situation. You requested to close the CSP but it remains open as of today?
Since only one Sapphire card is allowed by Chase, you cannot apply again if your old CSP remains open. You have 2 options here. One is to close your current CSP account and reapply again. The problem is it may take up to 30 days for Chase to update the system reflecting your account closure. By that time this offer may have expired. Another option is to product change/downgrade your CSP to a no-fee card, commonly Chase Freedom Unlimited. It takes 3 to 5 days for Chase to update the new account status. And then you can reapply again.
I closed it and tried to reapply but they are saying I still have the sapphire even though it's closed so I must have applied to quickly after closing. Trying to figure out how much longer to wait
If you recently closed it, it may take up to 30 days to reflect on Chase system.

I did the product change on 07/07, just went into branch and they couldn't do it because they said it was still showing as active. May have to do this online.
How soon after you product change did you go in the branch?
Downgraded to Freedom on 7/6. Went in today (7/14) for in branch app. Rep found my profile but couldn't apply. So I told her to apply via a guest profile. Success. But the rep told me to wait 7-10 days for a decision and printed out my app confirmation for me. I called the Recon line but they couldn't find my SS and I don't have a 12-digit app number. What can I do now?
Better to have her refer me for the 100k (without the other perks) or is it possible to be referred and complete it in a branch or phone to get the referral bonus and the $95+$50?
Either referral bonus or 95+50, but not both. Referral bonus earns you more, so it makes sense to go for that.

Wow! That's unusual. That's never happened to me, where the Reconsideration Line couldn't find my application after a reasonable time for the application to be logged into the system (a day or two). Suggestions:
Try calling the Reconsideration Line 888-270-2127 again tomorrow. Maybe Chase has been overwhelmed with applications. Maybe there was a glitch in their application system.
Try going back to your Chase bank and talk to the same agent that did your in-branch enrollment. See whether that agent can verify the status of your application.
So I just went in branch and they said they only offer the 80K, not offering 100K.
After reading the posts here it seems like the 20K should be automatically applied though, so I went through with itā¦. Should I have just bounced and gone online? I'm digging the waiver 95$ fee for the first year though!

Good luck!
OK, the Recon line said they needed me to email them my ID, which I submitted after my call. So call them again for status or wait?
Chase Recon will need at least two days to see your application on their platform. Since you just applied today, call them again two days later.

No, if that's all they said they needed, you're probably okay at this point.
That happened to me one time (thought it was a most unusual request, but followed through anyway).
At the time, I felt like the request for an ID check was almost a random, arbitrary request. Like they were conducting the check just to give me a hard time. In retrospect, I think that it was indeed arbitrary ... but not to give me a hard time. I think I was just part of a random sampling, something on the order of 1/100 or less.

Same situation. Product changed to FF a week ago, went into branch today and told me I still have a Chase Sapphire product (Reserve) so they don't even see an option for the CSP
My wife downgraded her card last Thursday and we went to apply in branch yesterday, but she was unable to do so. The rep said there is a known system glitch that if you recently downgraded or close a previous Sapphire card that the system will still see it, despite your online account showing your new card with a different number. She said that its happened to about 7 other people recently and that she put notes on their accounts. The rep said to contact customer service once the annual fee hits and ask them to match in the branch promotions and to review the notes on the account. They should update your account to reflect the in branch promotions. She gave her contact information if for some reason they deny it, she'll call and have them push it through.

Good luck!Boo. Ok. That's what I thought. Thanks. Going to get my husband to get the CSP but I have CSR. Too bad!
