I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Cancelled my no AF sapphire card early last week and tried to apply in branch last Friday but the banker couldn't pull up an application cause the credit bureaus haven't updated with the cancellation yet. They said it could take 60 days to update. Woe is me.

Just an update as I've been trying to obtain this incentive since early June.
I cleared the 48 months since I obtained my sapphire preferred in may 2017. I called the number on the back of the card and they said I need to cancel and wait a month then re-apply. I move forward as they mention I can re-open the account if within 2 months after cancellation.
I initially go into the branch and they don't have the 100k, fee waiver, and credit. They only have 80k.
I go into a different branch last week and they have the 100k and annual fee waiver but don't see the card for me to apply. I see on the chase app for the 100k for me to apply but no annual fee waiver.
I go into a different branch this morning. They still don't see the card for me to apply on their system.
This is proving to be very frustrating and may just apply online since I see the offer when logged into my account.
I have same situation like you, Opened chase sapphire in June 2017, downgraded to Freedom unlimited on June 4th 2021, do not see offer in branch but only online. My rep in bank called HQ and found out I have to wait until Aug 8th since that is when I received bonus in 2017, it is 48 months from when you received bonus not when you opened account. Be careful of applying online, even if it is being offered, they make you agree that it is past 48 months when you received last bonus, even if application goes thru they may deny bonus later because of this point.
Question, if I were to to a balance transfer of my CSP balance into another card with 0% interest, so I don't have to pay 4k in one month, will I still get the 100k points? I mean technically I did spend 4k right?

Your bank representative was exceptional.
Most bank personnel would not have gone through the effort of finding out when your last bonus was awarded. (They would simply have told you that they had no way of looking up that information.)
I was told by a online Chase rep that, if you already claimed the Sapphire bonus and attempted to open the Sapphire card again before the 48th month, the computer system will automatically deny you the card until the 48th month period has elapsed.

Multiple reps told me this.
