I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Just noticed that somehow I got a $60 grocery credit.ymmv.
Huh?
Let me get on the phone and demand my missing $10. As is, the Chase phone reps don't have anything better to do than to answer questions on the missing 20K and now the missing $10.
I was told by a online Chase rep that, if you already claimed the Sapphire bonus and attempted to open the Sapphire card again before the 48th month, the computer system will automatically deny you the card until the 48th month period has elapsed.
Multiple reps told me this.
This is true. I applied online, got auto-rejected. Was confused because my credit is very good. Hubby got auto approved. A week later, letter comes in the mail stating I was rejected because of the 48 month bonus thing. Appreciate Chase auto-rejecting rather than making me spend 4K to reject later. Also, it seems that the system checks the 48 month thing before hard pull because Hubby's Credit Karma alert picked up new credit inquiry but my account is silent.
I have really good credit and haven't applied for any credit cards in over 4 years. I applied online last week and I still haven't heard anything. Called and was transferred to fraud operations... now I've been on hold for 50 mins... wth!
Have only a Chase Freedom Unlimited and a Business Ink Preferred.
Just confirming I should be eligible for this?
Thanks!
Have you previously had either of the Sapphire cards before? If so, did you receive the signup bonus on said card within the past 48 months? If so, you are not eligible.
Have you opened 5 or more credit cards (not counting just Chase) in the past 24 months? If so, it'll depend on which cards. Business cards are handled differently.
If the answer to both those questions is no, then you are eligible.
sliiy questions; After downgrading from CSR, do we need to way 5 busness days or 5 calendar days?
Also, is there a way to verify eligibility before applying online via referral? I don't want to apply and then not receive the points.
I downgraded and had to wait until after my statement close to apply for the preferred. I called them on the phone and they told me when i last got the bonus and when I would be eligible so it worked out good.
I had CSR and I called them to downgrade to freedom unlimited and was told to wait 48 hours to reapply.
My question, will I get both freedom AND CSP if I apply using my wife's referral link?
Or its a switch from Freedom to CSP?
If I got both, is there signing bonus for freedom unlimited?
Thanks

Wait 48 hours
Then you apply for CSP (Bonus) [Brand NEW number, limit, history]
You'll end up having 2 credit cards: Freedom Unlimited (no bonus) + CSP (bonus)
