I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

How soon do we get the credit/refund for the prorated annual fee for CSR after downgrade to CFU? I downgraded more than 1.5 months ago.

Remember that you'll be getting 1.25 vs 1.5 per point for the Reserve when you do that.
yeah SP is 1.25x vs SR where it is 1.5 - so better try to do "pay yourself back" as much as possible - to get 1.5 per point with Chase Reserve before closing. Lot of people also holds on to point to get better value with specific transfer partner like Hyatt where it could work out better than 1.5c per point. So not end of the world - if you close Reserve, because you'll still have transfer partner.

My link of that member's earlier post already tells you the turnaround time of a product change. It usually takes 2 to 3 days but apparently Chase is now taking a longer time for that, roughly 5 to 7 days.

You may downgrade your CSR to a no-fee card. Before you do that, make sure you transfer all your UR points to another UR account and use up all the perks. After your downgrade, wait 5 to 7 days before you apply for CSP, the longer the better. In the meantime, the best approach is to have your wife refer you for the CSP. Once you are approved, your wife is going to have an extra 20K points. The value of referral bonus is better than signing up yourself in-branch to have $95 AF waived.
but of course, i will use all my perks - finished the DoorDash credit, on 2nd go round, found out for DoorDash you don't even have to take the delivery!! You can do pickup instead, and i saved $20 on fees! Obviously used the $300 credit, and doordash credit - transferred as many points as i wanted to get 1.5x "pay yourself back".

Sort of feel bad doing to Chase, they've been very good to me. But if they keep offering these free stuff - hard to say no!!! Yes, 20K referral offer would more than offset AF & $50 grocery credit.

I got declined. 750 CS. I had a BK 6 yrs, 11 mos ago. So maybe not quite off my record. But I also have all of my CHK/SAV deposits with Chase - 60k or so. A little surprised at the result. Maybe I should call the reco line. I haven't applied for any new cards in quite a long time.

If i got this Chase Saphire PREFERRED card ($95/yr fee) can I transfer my points from my Chase Saphire RESERVE card ($550/yr fee) to the new Preferred card and then close the RESERVE account?
Thank you.
You cannot get this deal till you have the Reserve card. You need to downgrade to Chase Freedom, that will retain points. Then, apply and get the Preferred and move the points to it once you get the card. If you cancel Reserve and have no other Chase card, you will lose those points.

Definitely call the Recon line since you are just one month shy to start your clean record if you are being in Ch.13. $60K sitting in your Chase account is also a big plus when negotiating with Recon. Good luck.

Thank you - do you now know if you go this route do both the cards count separately for chase 5/24 rule in future or as one application since they are done close together. I would think the former but just checking.

Anyone know how to get the $50 grocery credit? I applied and was approved in branch 1.5 months ago. Still not sure how to get the grocery credit. I've certainly purchased more than $50 worth of groceries.
