I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

1) Best way to apply is through a player 2 referral to get 100k + 20k referral bonus.
2) If option 1 is not possible, apply in branch to waive the 1st year AF of $95.
3) Need to have CSP to refer CSP.

Can you combine 1) and 2) in branch?

No, those are 2 separate application processes. You can either use a referral(20k) or apply in branch($95).

Walmart seems to be YMMV -- I had three smallish purchases at Walmart automatically qualify for my grocery credit. One Neighborhood Market and two regular Supercenters. But no purchases at Target qualified for me.
Post a screenshot as many in this community would probably be interested. I'm guessing grocery charges are programmed at a Level 1 data set. If certain charges at walmart qualify then it would be programmed at level 2 or 3. Otherwise all walmart purchases would qualify including cash equivalents.

You are probably buying groceries at Walmart and target and expecting the credit. Chase can only tell if it's groceries by who is the merchant. You have to go to a dedicated grocery store like Safeway or whole foods. Walmart and target won't count even if you are buying groceries there.
All my Walmart purchases yielded me a credit. Including the $109.xx automotive battery purchase which was a sole purchase with nothing else on that receipt.

Post a screenshot as proof. That means walmart is considered a grocery store which it is not. Who knows how chase is coding these stores.

Someone go buy a cash equivalent and then try to redeem using pyb. If it works then those of you that bought $2k amzn gc at a grocery store trapped your money in a store gc for no reason. It would take me years to use up 2k at amzn. Maybe decades.

Always happens to me. Applied when 80k and this came just two days later. Customer care also said I've to live with it. 🤦 ā™‚ļø

I'm about 90% sure my wife's card i saw the grocery credit came up for Walmart purchases. Just can't log in now, but i checked few days back and we got all credits back, and if i recall some of it was from Walmart. I think my bofa card also sees it as a grocery store. Mine is not a "Super Walmart" - i wonder if that makes a difference.

I qualified for the 100k points 1-2 weeks ago and it looks like they just added my rewards to my account within the past day. Very surprised it happened so quickly.

Yeah, when you meet bonus requirements, they are posted on your next statement date. So you had met the requirements 1-2 weeks earlier but had to wait until your statement generated. Someone else might meet the requirements only two days before their statement generation and get the bonus even faster. They come on the first statement after meeting requirements.

Umm so you can claim something and not back it up and we have to PROVE it? No thanks.

I and another member said their Walmart purchase were cataloged as groceries and you said they do not. So, if you truly have this card, swipe it at your local Walmart and prove to us clueless folk that we're wrong by showing that your purchase was NOT labelled as groceries.

We did not tell someone that Walmart purchase won't classify as grocery purchase. You did. Back your claim up then as you made a rather broad statement citing ALL Walmarts and Targets won't count as grocery even if you buy groceries there. Smilie

I shop at the local Walmart Supercenter.
