I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I think one of the best uses of points is using them to transfer to the World of Hyatt point system. You can get a room that would be $150 + tax for either 5,000 or 8,000 points at several locations in Florida. I got a few vacations coming up and using some of my 100k points towards hotel stays. As a heads up, I understand the system they use is going to be revamped in the end of september so my advise is only transfer what you are going to use and reserve by then. You can book holiday weekends which I am sure will be pricier and even worth more than the points any other way. I just got my 100k bonus on the first statement after spending the 4k required.
There are many other reasons that might cause the application denied. Chase's 5/24 rule is a common one. Credit utilization, average age of credit, proof of identity, #'s of cards or overall CL on other Chase cards all play a role. You should always call the Reconsideration line to find out why and negotiate with Chase. Even if no success on your negotiation, you would know what issues you have that caused the denial, and then rectify the issues for your credit approval.
Thanks, got an email and called. Was on hold for 2 hrs. Talked to a fraud dept. and got approved.

You may see you are pre-approved for the CSP with 100K point offer on Chase portal online. You may also receive a pre-approval email from Chase. Otherwise, you may check the eligibility yourself. See below.

How long will this promotion run? I'm planning to downgrade my 3.5yr old CSP to freedom and then apply again. Assuming this downgrade will take a week or more, don't want to miss the window for the offer.

Is 3.5 year old card older than 48 months? You cannot get this promo if you got one in the past 48 months.

You can downgrade immediately. That is not the rate determining step in your case.
Your hurdle is clearing the 48 months since last being awarded a Sapphire bonus.
Edit: By downgrading immediately, you'll save at least 6 months (pro-rated refund) on your CSP annual fee. If you downgrade to a Freedom Flex card, you'll get the opportunity to earn points under its quarterly 5% categories for those 6 months.
I would tread lightly in the area of cash equivalents.
Cashapp is much too similar to PayPal Send Cash, which is treated by Chase as a cash advance (non-qualifying purchase). When you send cash via PayPal, not only do you get hit by PayPal with a 2.9% fee but you get hit by Chase for a $10 cash advance fee (or 5%, whichever is greater) plus interest charges begin accruing IMMEDIATELY. Chase's interest rate will depend on your individual account (based on your credit score), typically around 25% APR.

It's a 48 month window from when you received your last bonus. Though i got my card on April 12, 2017, I hit the minimum spend on June 1, 2017, I didn't get the bonus points until June 28, 2017 when my statement was generated. So I couldn't apply until June 29, 2021.
There's no telling when they'll pull the 100k offer. It could be next week, it could be next month or next year.
I read about it online on one of those points guides sites that it's going to happen at the end of September. I am new to the whole world of Hyatt but I've stayed at a couple hyatts and they are real nice. It appears if you find a hotel with availability whatever the points are is the price you pay for the night. So you could get some real bargains if it's a holiday weekend or something like that that the prices are all hyped up on. Going on a cruise and usually most hotels in the area are over a hundred bucks for the cheap ones and you can transfer points and get a night for 8000 points. so my understanding in the future after September is that when you book a place the points will be locked in at some cash value. so it might cost you 15000 points to stay at the same hotel a night after September. just my own speculation not exactly sure

I applied before 07/17 so only 80K pts was shown although I actually received 100K pts after I met the $4K threshold.
Keep in mind such transaction usually costs you several percentage points for fees.
