I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Note: For Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders, the decision is much more complicated. For those that can take full advantage of the travel benefits, the Reserve is worth more than the $550 annual fee.
That's what i thought - I remembered when these cards originally came out - that was on of ther selling points - transfer partners. It is the same with Citi Thankyou Rewards - only you have the premium cards, you can transfer thankyou rewards to partners.
Thanks for the heads up on Sapphire rumored benefit changes. That extra 10% annual bonus would be nice. Plus $50 hotel credit would be very nice as well. Hopefully, they come through - DOC says they'll announce it on Aug 15th - we will see.
Chase has been so nice to me with all rewards - i will keep at least 1 of this $99 car. Definitely downgrading my Chase Reserve - just not worth it at $550 upfront payment.
One additional benefit for both Sapphire Card - with these card Auto Rental insurance - the card is the primary insurance. Before Sapphire, I used to use Amex, and they provide similar benefits but would cost $25 per rental. I think all no fee card, the insurance is secondary.
The PYB option can redeem points with 1.25x redemption value for eligible purchases in the past 90 days. When you use PYB option on Chase UR portal, each eligible purchase would tell you how many days left you have for PYB redemption. You redeem for statement credit whether or not the purchases have been paid off. That being said, you can redeem points to pay off your grocery purchases that haven't been paid off yet on the current statement.
Thanks for all the answers and valuable info you've provided in this thread. I was wondering if there is a limit to the amount of grocery and dining bills you are allowed to pay using UR points with the PYB program. I just found out that on the Chase Freedom card, the PYB program with 10% bonus on dining is limited to $250. I can't find info on the UR points of CSP card website about this.
Also, if I get my 100K bonus a few days after my initial billing statement is due, can I just request to have my due date moved past the day of me getting the big UR rewards points so I can pay off a lot of the restaurant and grocery bills first and lower my initial payment due? Or would delaying payment of the first bill from the original due date would also move the date that your 100K bonus is awarded? Thanks in advance.
For Sapphire cards, I don't think there is any limit on PYB redemption. My spouse and I redeemed all our UR points for $2,600 last week without a hiccup. I also searched other blogs but didn't see any mentioning there would be a limit on PYB redemption. The only limit is on the no-fee Freedom cards. Starting on July 2, 2021, the Chase Freedom lineup of cards, including Chase Freedom Flex and Chase Freedom Unlimited, will have a new Pay Yourself Back option with a redemption rate of 1.1 cents on dining purchases up to $250. The PYB option, however, will end on 09/30/21.
Once you meet the $4K spend threshold, the 100K points will be credited to your account as soon as the billing cycle closes. This is what happened to me and my spouse. Then you will have at least 25 days grace period to pay off your current bill with PYB. I cashed out all my points with PYB on the first day of the new billing cycle and paid off whatever left in the remaining balance.

So best to wait to get the card? I have an appointment at a branch but may postpone if the perks will get better.

I would assume any changes to card benefits will apply to current CSP cardholders? So I don't think you have to wait for the change to take effect.
That's usually how that works for credit cards. I know it's a different issuer, but for my Amex platinum the new card benefits automatically applied to my card.
Any idea how long this offer is going to be running? I want to get in on it but I don't want to wait a bit until a vacation I'm planning gets into the 3 month window.

That is right. Many (most?) Sapphire users choose to discontinue their card after one year. However, rumors are that Chase will improve the Sapphire benefits package shortly.

EDIT: I stand corrected. Thank you for pointing this out. See my edited post.
