I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I just a converted my Slate card to a freedom unlimited and now would like to get the CSP for the 100,000 bonus…I understand that this card comes with an annual fee so what would be my downgrade card option before the year is over? Don't believe I can have two different freedom accounts.

You can definitely have more than one Freedom card. Chase does not limit the number of Freedom cards an individual can have.

You can definitely have 2 freedoms.

What you can't do is downgrade the CSP before the first year ends. Chase doesn't allow product changes on annual fee cards until you've held them for 12 months.

No reason to either.

You can downgrade after the 2nd year annual fee posts within I think 30 or 45 days for a full refund of the fee.

So, I had requested the PYB credit for all my grocery and restaurant purchases on the first statement. ALL were credited today. Paid off some of the 4K in a cash payment at the ATM, plus the credits bring the first bill down to $137.xx remaining. Used about 24K points for PYB of about $307.xx. Life's good.

Thank you for all the data points, all the encouragement and some of you repeatedly answering the same questions over and over again. I would not have the same level of patience as you guys do especially @1dash1 and @Tazmania99.
How do you request PYB credit? I only have one card with chase, this CSP which I just got 20 days ago. I have $1000+ on groceries on this card. Can I use the points as PYB for the groceries? Or do I need to have Chase Freedom or some other card for that?

Yeah, only the referrer gets the 20k. That's the reason it helps to have a referral in the household so that you can combine the UR points.

Today is my day! I just received the UR points today for myself and my spouse's account, subsequently cashed out via PYB for $2600! Hooray~!
Can you use PYB if you paid off the original charge through regular monthly payment?

I have a lot of grocery charges on my first month on the card but I expect to reach $4000 spend only after 3 months. So my first month of charges will be paid through regular monthly payment. Can I use PYB after 3 months when I get UR point to reverse the first month's grocery charges at 1.25 cents value?

Where can I find the referral link from my account? Everytime I goto the referral link it says, this offer is not available to you. It doesn't make any sense.

Once you earn the points, you can request PYB. When you do that, the system will list all the qualified transactions and you can simply select them and request the points be used against those charges. You do have to wait for the points to post to your account before you can use them.

I am sure you can as you have 90 days for PYB.

That said, PYB is ending on 9/30 so you do not have 90 days and neither do you have 3 months to earn the UR points.

The PYB option can redeem points with 1.25x redemption value for eligible purchases in the past 90 days. When you use PYB option on Chase UR portal, each eligible purchase would tell you how many days left you have for PYB redemption. You redeem for statement credit whether or not the purchases have been paid off. That being said, you can redeem points to pay off your grocery purchases that haven't been paid off yet on the current statement.

The referrer must have CSP in order to refer CSP. Does the referrer or you have the CSP?

You can no longer add a Chase household member online, but it's still possible on the phone [thepointsguy.com].

Is this correct? It was my understanding you can select any transaction within the last 90 days for pyb even if you have already paid them off. You would just get a statement credit that sits in your account. Is this incorrect?

Not any transaction. Only those fall in the PYB categories such as charity, home improvement, groceries, travel via Chase portal, and restaurants. Even if you already paid off the eligible purchases, you can still take advantage of 1.25x PYB redemption value for statement credit as long as the purchases are within the 90 days time frame. Sorry, I will not provide any proof of this.
