I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

If you just come to the forum, raise a question, and expect an answer, then this offer is gonna expire today for you. If you spend some time to read the thread and research, then you would have found the answer two pages prior.
Does anyone know when this offer will expire? I'd like to wait until the 16th to apply (when the new benefits come out) but would rather get the 100k SUP + annual fee waived (applying in person) than get the new hotel credit benefit.
Just a quick question. I read that the PYB program is only till end of september. Would I still be able to redeem for a credit card statement after that period? If not, is it still worth getting this card?

This may well have been in here already, but wow this is a long thread. I have had the Sapphire Reserve for about 4 years and currently have about 50K in points along with the Freedom and Freedom Unlimited cards. It is my understanding that you can only have one Sapphire card at a time. If I close the Reserve and Open a Sapphire Preferred do I lose the points? What if I transfer them to the Freedom card and then when the new Preferred is open transfer to the UR through the Sapphire? Also, would I get the 100K bonus as I have not gotten one is over 4 years?
Downgraded my CSR to Freedom, waited 6 days just to be safe and used P2's referral link. Instant approval. Called for expedited delivery to a different address since out of town and received the following day.

were you able to keep your points form the CSR and eventually transfer them to the CSP?
First, check another member's post regarding your eligibility here.
If your last Sapphire bonus was received more than 48 months ago and you have not violated the Chase 5/24 rule, you are eligible again to apply for CSP and get the 100K sign-up bonus. The best approach for you is as followed.
1. Check any purchases in the past 90 days on your CSR categorized as grocery, home improvement, restaurant (including takeout), charity, and Lyft? If you do, then use Chase Pay Yourself Back option to get statement credit with 1.5x redemption value. The PYB redemption for these categories has expired as of 09/30.
2. Use up all the other perks of CSR.
3. Transfer the UR points of the CSR to another Freedom account.
4. Call Chase to downgrade your CSR to another no-fee card. Keep in mind you are allowed to have more than one Freedom card. You can also request a prorated refund of the annual fee of the CSR.
5. Once the downgrade is complete, which usually takes 5 to 7 days 10 to 14 days, go to a local branch to sign up your CSP and have the $95 annual fee waived for the first year. If you know anyone or family member who has CSP, you can apply through his referral link and he will get 20K points as referral bonus once you are approved. You can only pick either option, not both.
6. Once you activate your CSP, you can transfer the UR points back from the Freedom account anytime, take advantage of PYB option but with 1.25x redemption value for CSP. The PYB option will end 09/30/21. (Update: Starting 10/01, only AirBnB, AwayTravel, and select charities will have 1.25x redemption value through 03/31/22)

For the ones stressing about reaching the 4K, I just got my 2nd 4K done. Turns out, due to COVID, our county is absorbing the CC fees to pay taxes. They generate and send the tax bills in Aug and we got our's last week. I was planning on going to the office but I decided to call them and ask if they charge fees in the office or not. The nice lady who was helping me (I know right?) said you do not need to go to the office as pay by phone and online both have the cc fees waived due to COVID. I just paid my taxes (usually pay in December) and crossed over the 4K and then some.
Now, I regret prepaying my gas bill and phone bills.
Here is an exceprt from our county payment website. You all should look into your's to see if you too can pay the taxes via CC for FREE.
In response to the COVID-19 state of emergency, Mecklenburg County will absorb credit and debit card service fees for the duration of the emergency. No fee will be charged to the payer when using a credit card, debit card, or electronic check (eCheck) to pay tax bills.

What the heck is Mecklenburg county? Pge used to charge over 2% but they reduced it to a flat rate since they need people to pay them as much money as possible to pay for their wildfire lawsuits.

So if I don't travel frequently, how else can I redeem those points? Isn't the freedom cash backs a better offer considering that?
