I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Under combine points, I don't see add user(household member) option. And can add a household member who already have CSP to transfer points to that household members card?
I don't think you can earn points on points. Pay yourself back is the same as using those points for travel unless you transfer those points to an airline or hotel loyalty program and they happen to be offering more than 25%. Otherwise you can get a statement credit and pretty much spend that money somewhere for better rewards like a Chase Freedom card quarterly category for 5% to kind of earn points from points.
Currently I have 20k points. I can either use this for hotel stays or was thinking of using this for pay yourself back (groceries, dine out) which is 25% more. If I use the points for groceries, I'll just use Chase rewards and pay for my hotel with it and earn 25% more and use the points in the future.
so I downgraded my sapphire reserve sometime last year during the pandemic to a regular sapphire (not sapphire preferred).
Sounds like this is still considered a Sapphire card which disqualifies me from the bonus? Which is too bad, I probably should have downgraded it to a freedom or something since I don't even use it.

Correct, but there is nothing stopping you from changing it to a Freedom now and making yourself eligible for the new card + bonus (assuming it has been 48+ months since getting the bonus for the previous CSR).

I applied for the CSR when it first came out so must have been more than 4 years+
any grace period from after changing it to the freedom before I can apply for the CSP?

Just attempted to apply in-branch and they said that there's been an on-going 'glitch' since June that has caused problems with in-branch applications. The option wasn't there to apply for the card under my file.
I downgraded from a CSP ~1.5 years ago to a freedom and it's been 4 years since I applied/redeemed my CSP rewards. Anyone have any similar experiences with difficult applying in-branch?

Minimum 4 days.
Many/most have reported applications accepted after 4 days. Some have had to wait 7 days (and even longer in rare instances) before their applications were accepted. YMMV.
I print and carry this cheat sheet in my wallet at all times (see image). Unless the checkout line is long, I don't even head there until I've referenced it. I've been mad as a hornet at myself one too many times for using the wrong card. https://i.imgur.com/Cn2ZOU0.png
Nice! But unless I'm mistaken, 5% back on travel for Chase Freedom Unlimited only applies thru the Ultimate Rewards portal.

Is $95 activation fee means annual fee waived? For 1yr or more? And what did you say or how did you do?

Yes waived for the 1st year only. Just went in and asked about the promotion of the CSP and asked if they offered the $50 grocery credit and $95 annual fee wavier for 1st year.
They said they're only doing the annual fee wavier (California). YMMV.
Not a YMMV.
The grocery credit promo ended on July 17 across the country.
