I didn't click on his link. Just didn't think of checking credit report, and was asking if easy to check through chase. I'll get to it later.
If you signed up online, this is what the Offer Details says:There is nothing here that says the hotel credit begins upon your 1-year anniversary date. Indeed, it says that annual max benefit of $50 begins with your account open date.
Furthermore, Chase announced that this benefit applies to new cardmembers effective August 16. Existing cardmembers will start this benefit after their next account anniversary. Reference:

I got approved on Thursday and called them to do rush shipping and today called again to get the tracking# and see it will be arriving on Monday
