I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I owned CSP for many years and cancelled 3 weeks ago. Went to branch to apply today, and was told I'm not qualified and I have to not own the card for two years to qualify. I asked to use guest profile to apply, but was told once enter my social it links to my profile. Any suggestion? Thanks

Is there still an option to transfer the reward points to another household account? I have CSR which gives 50% more value, as compared to CSP which is 25% more value when redeemed. My wife got her CSP and I was wondering if I could get her points transferred to my CSR to get additional 25%? If there's an option to do so, please share the details. Thank you.

You can transfer points between household members.

It has been discussed numerous times in the thread. Do not cancel your current card.

In your case, you may need to wait another week for Chase to drop your canceled card off their system before you are able to apply.

Any DP regarding how long time wait after PC to another card? I've read 2-3 days or 1-2 weeks.

Is the only way to check is when you apply for the card?

For in-branch applications:
https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=149341894&postcount=4182

For online applications: Approximately half the time of (twice as fast as) in-branch applications. Sorry, I didn't keep a tally of the online applications.

Have there been many times two days later wasn't enough? I've gone through a good chunk of this tread and haven't seen any.

I applied Friday evening, called earlier this afternoon and they told me the verifications department is still working on it and to check back later in the week. May have just said that to get me off the phone but I'll give em a couple more days.

We are talking about different processing here from different departments from Chase. Recon Line is the one that determines whether or not to approve your credit application. It is the department you negotiate with for credit extension. When speaking with them, the common topics are about your income, reason of opening the account, credit reallocation, etc. The reason why waiting 2 days before calling the Recon Line is to have your application flow into Recon's working platform. Keep in mind that a gigantic bank like Chase uses many different programs and platforms for various departments. They would have several major mainframe systems that feed non-essential data in an overnight batch to the corresponding platforms. Recon's platform most likely is not real-time as credit card application is considered non-essential. This is why I recommend to wait at least 2 days before calling. If you call the same day you apply, I am sure Recon will not see your app on their end.

There is another department called Fraud department playing a major role in processing credit card applications. This department handles anything about the applicant's identity such as proof of address, SSN#, phone number, etc. If the applicant's identity cannot be verified, the application will be denied. When your application is under review by Fraud department, sometimes one phone call can rectify the issue, sometimes you need to wait until Fraud department completes the review process. You will be contacted if any additional information is required. In the meantime, all you can do is wait.

You must book your travel via the Ultimate Rewards travel portal in order to take advantage of the 25% higher redemption rate.

Assuming that you previously set up your online Chase account, you can navigate to the Ultimate Rewards portal from your credit card account page (see attached image). Click on the link shown.

The next screen that opens up will show your different UR accounts. Select the credit card account that you wish to use.

When the Ultimate Rewards portal comes up, click on the menu icon (three horizontal bars in the upper left corner). Select "Travel".

From there, booking your travel is straightforward... similar to most other travel websites.

So there's 2 methods.

3 posts above describes using the Chase portal--- that gets you 1.25 cents a point (or 1.5 cents a point if you also have access to a CSR in your household and use the points that way).

You can often do better- sometimes a lot better- than 1.25c/pt elsewhere though.

Specifically by transferring the points to one of Chases travel partners.

The only hotel worth doing this with usually is Hyatt- where getting 2-2.5 cents per point compared to the cash booking price is not difficult to do.

Airline-wise there's a lot of options, and getting 1.5-2.5 cents a point for coach....and 3-6 cents per point in business class, is likewise not uncommon (though you may need some flexibility in your travel schedule depending on where you're going and when).
cool. I will have to check it out. travel.chase.com is down right now ;(

I have AAdvantage reward mastercard also. Wondering if chase is better.
Then again the citi MC i have with 2% unlimited cashback on everything with no limit is just so much easier to keep track of....lol

Is it true in branch application will not give referral points to person who referred me? Which is better $100 waived for first year or 20k referral points? How much is 20k points worth in $ amount?
