I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Based on you info, I assume Recon did not approve you application. Did you tell them your last Sapphire bonus was received 5 years ago? And what did they say? Is it possible it is indeed less than 48 months?
I did tell them my last offer was 5yrs ago and asked them about the 48months policy. He said he doesn't know anything about 48 month policy and said I should talk to the customer service about it. He was pretty rude about the whole thing so I just ended the conversation.
I also just checked my CK and it did say I opened that card in sept 2016. Even if I received the bonus in early 2017, it's still over 48 months
I applied two days ago after PCing my CSR a week ago. Got denied and called recon today. They told me the reason why i didn't get it is because I already received similar offer before but it has been 5yrs since I got the bonus.
Anyways, is it better to try the application again online using my sister's referral or just go to the branch?
That reason makes no sense. Similar offers are given to everyone. The only thing that matters is when your last Sapphire bonus was awarded and whether you have (or have cleared) an existing Sapphire account.
Unfortunately, expertise varies widely from agent to agent. I'd suggest that you call again. Reconsideration Line: (888) 270-2127

Online referral earns your sister 20K bonus points.
In-branch application waives your first year's $95 annual fee.
Huh?! Interesting. A person from Recon does not know the card criteria. You can call the Recon again and get another person to speak with. Make sure you call the right phone number 1-888-270-2127.
Or you can apply again through your sister's referral link and have her potentially get an additional 20K points.
I would go to the latter route since there will be an extra $200 value.

Did you call the Reconsideration Line @ (888) 270-2127?
The 48 month rule is something all Reconsideration agents would ordinarily know about. It's something that they would have had to explain to customer after customer, over and over again, on a daily basis.
Personally, I've found them to be much more knowledgeable about offer details than the regular Chase Customer Service agents.

Yes, I called recon line. I'm going to try again right now since I initially used my sister's referral link for that application

Just talked to recon again and this rep said that my CSR still shows in my account. I guess I will have to wait a couple more days and try again
Where did you see it? Main menu, then Credit cards? (Not If you don't see what you're looking for…find a card). Or did you see it on the right of your Chase portal saying "You're already approved!"?
I am not pre-approved for the CSP card. I went to Credit Cards and then browsed through "if you don't see what you're looking for...in order to see it listed as a card).
You can actually get the number from the banker and the expiration should be the month you signed up and 3 years from this year so it should be 9/26. However if you need the 3 digit code, you have to wait for the card as no one knows what it is. I was able to get my number immediately after approval.
You can add card to Apple wallet after a few days it will give option
Then no good. It's just a list of credit cards for everyone and does not tie to your customer profile.

I once had a business credit card so now all my offers are for Chase Business Credit Card, I am prequalified for Chase Ink cards. Sucks. I never see personal offers. I think I have to create a new profile somehow to get personal offers
Submitted the application and got the instant approval with a limit of $22k. My auto insurance carrier said I can pay for a year in advance using the card, so that will be a good chunk of the $4k. Hopefully it works out for me. I already have a Freedom card, so maybe that is why I got the quick approval.

P.S. Product changes (downgrades) seem to clear Chase's system much faster for online applications than for in-branch applications.
