I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

This is one great list of credit cards for everyday spending!

By the way, which AmEx Blue Cash do you have? I thought the annual fee is $95? And 6% cash back on groceries is capped at $6,000 per year?
You're right, $95 fee. Original post corrected, accordingly. (The $75 fee is from when I first enrolled in the card. The fee has gone up since then.)

There are caps on most of these cards, I only wanted to hit the high points for brevity's sake.

DP: downgraded my CSR (Jan 2017) on 09/02/21, applied and got denied immediately on 09/08/21.
Applied on 09/14/21 again, shows pending/ under review until called chase bank today.
After transfering some credit line from other cards, then approved.
I called chase after the first denial, was told my CSR was not cleared from my account, but no credit pull for that application, also they encouraged me to apply
again on my end.
Thanks for all the helps from here!
Were both applications in-branch or online?

NVM. Presumably, both applications were made online, based on referral link used in first application.

Another data point for those in the same boat:

I downgraded my vintage 2016 CSR to Freedom Unlimited on 9/8, then waited until I saw that CSP/CSR were options when I logged into my Chase account and clicked on Open an Account. I noticed this happen for me on 9/14 (so 3-4 business days after cancellation). The card was listed as an option but was not showing as pre-approved. I went ahead and applied online via a referral link on 9/14 and was approved instantly.

Ok card experts, what's a better choice and why as a 'consumer' or an actual user u feel that way?
Anyone here use both? Do u suggest 1 over the other?
TIA.

I always use the former because it works out better for me, but sometimes I go the other way. Never thought of using them both.

That's as an actual user, of course. But I'm no card expert ... Angel Not

Thanks, in fact I am thinking to upgrade the freedom back to CSR after receiving new CSP.
I remember one DP reported that he was able to do that, because chase does not allow applying another sapphire card while already have one, but can upgrade existing nor sapphire card?
If that is doable, 100k can be redeemed up to 1500 other than 1250 by CSP. So that the difference of 250 can cover the annual fee for CSR if considering 300 travel credit.

We have both in our household and Amex works better for us so far. They have more/better promos. Both have gotten really expensive though. Priority Pass is losing lounges, so is losing value -- vs Amex Centurion lounges which are getting more locations now/finally. Once I need to travel for work again, Amex will be worth it again (lounges). The Hilton & Marriott status bumps are nice too.

Actually about to cancel/downgrade the CSR (wife) and sign up for this one just for the bonus (me). I did the CSR in 2016 so it's time. laugh out loud

edit - UR points do feel more valuable than Amex, though. The 150% value for travel (Reserve, not Preferred) is great. We'll park the points in Ink for now.

Can I refer my friend to this card (i'm an existing Chase Sapphire member) and then they get the 100k, my referral bonus but there's still the $95 AF?
