I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

The 25% bonus on redemption through PYB is only available through 9/30. You do not get the points until after your next statement closing date. So there is no way to get the 25% bonus at this point if you're still figuring out where to spend money, unless they extend it again. Granted they have before, but there's no sense worrying about where you spend it until you know if they are going to extend it because you're not going to get the points in time. At that point its just going to be cash or a statement credit, or save it for later.

How do I find the exact date I opened the account, so I know which date is 90 days later?
Please note that having your new downgraded card from CSP showing up on your Chase account portal does not mean the old Sapphire account has been cleared off from Chase system. You are still in the waiting game before you are actually eligible to sign up the CSP again.

Thank You, will search more on "awarded". BTW, it took 1 hour for the system to change to flex from sapphire. (I know YMMV).

Sure, my apple wallet (old CS card is not longer valid) and the app got updated with new card info.
Calling customer service to find out when I was awarded.
Recent DPs show that the wait time is about 10-14 days for signing up in-branch; 7-10 days for signing up online.

I have 817 credit, haven't had a sapphire reward for 4 years, but have had a free (regular) Sapphire card that I downgraded many years ago. I just called today to convert that to a Freedom Flex. When can I apply for this sapphire preferred card either online or in branch?
About 10 days ago I paid a Medical bill for $600, then the next day my insurance paid the $600. So I called and had my payment reversed (Credit back to my Sapphire Card). Which they did the next day.
I'm now at $3500 spent (Not $4100) but it still says I'm getting my 100,000 points on 10/2.
Can I trust that this is true, or will they pull it back?

EDIT: Please note that redeemed points continue to count (whether redeemed for travel or PYB).
EDIT2: I also should mention that this is a YMMV situation. While Chase says that "points earned through the purchase will be deducted from your point earnings (which can include bonus points)", I've personally had at least one large purchase refunded and Chase did not follow through with taking back any rewards points.

Can I cancel my existing sapphire card (not preferred) and apply this? Will I be eligible for this promo?
You need to wait 48 months minimum and then 3 months if you took that long to pay the signup bonus. If you spent $4K the first day you had the card then you can sign up after 48 months. You also need to have a month between when you canceled or product changed the Sapphire for the FICO credit history to clear. Chase only allows you to have one Sapphire credit card at a time.

Your post is a combination of information and misinformation.
True _ Applicant needs to wait a minimum of 48 months from the award of bonus.
False _ The clock does not start when the $4k was spent. The clock starts when bonus was awarded (statement date).
True _ It takes about a month for the credit history to clear if the applicant cancels the card.
False _ It doesn't take a month for the credit history to clear if the applicant changes product. It takes 1-2 weeks for the credit history to clear if the applicant changes product (downgrades his card).

Probably you guys will make fun of the accent, but whatever.

LoL! That is what I would call a typical Customer Service response from Chase and demonstrates why their response should not be treated with 100% confidence.
0:19 _ Agent misinforms customer what the 48 month requirement consists of. She says that it must be at least 48 months from the time the first card was opened. WRONG. It is 48 months from the time the original bonus was awarded.
0:41 _ Agent says she can check to verify his eligibility date. UNKNOWN. There have been many reports in this discussion thread where agents told customers that they could not check for such eligibility. And in this particular video, the agent apparently does not check because she never returns back with such information. Indeed, if she had checked, she would have found out that the 48 months did not start when the first card was opened, so it is unlikely that she followed up.
1:00 _ Agent says that it depends on the banker whether the $95 annual fee is waived. FALSE. Bankers have no influence on whether it is waived or not, this is a fixed offer nationwide. However, the agent does mention that she doesn't "have the option to waive off annual membership fee". CORRECT. Online Customer Service agents have no option to waive annual membership fees. It is because she has no information available about bank offers that she misconstrues (imagines) what banks can or can't do.
1:30 _ Agent says that delivery of the card is the same regardless of whether the customer signs up online or in-branch. CORRECT. 7-10 business days regardless of how the customer signs up. She also correctly advises the customer that he can request expedited delivery, once the card is approved.
2:18 _ Agent goes through a detailed and incorrect discussion of when the 48 month time period starts and ends, adding a one month "buffer" which makes no sense. If the 48 month period starts on September 29, then it would end 48 months later on September 28 (or at latest, September 29, depending on how you wish to count elapsed time). In any case, the 48 month time frame that she is talking about is the wrong time frame, as discussed earlier.
Since this video only consists of a snippet of the overall discussion, we are left without knowing whether other significant points were discussed with the customer:
- Does the customer currently hold a Chase Sapphire account?
- If the customer recently had a Chase Sapphire account, when was the account closed or product changed?
- Does the customer meet the 5/24 criteria?
- Are there any other significant issues that might affect eligibility (recent credit inquiries, total credit card limits with Chase, credit score, income, bankruptcies, etc.)?
.

1. I just downgraded my normal sapphire to freedom flex and it reflected in apple pay and in my account.
2. My first sapphire preferred is Sept 29th 2017. Downgraded to non-preferred after 2 years and downgraded to freedom this morning.
3. I have total of 3 Chase credit cards at the moment (never closed any chase credit card in the past 10 years).
4. No to all of those bankruptcy etc questions.
