I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

How long did the application process take in branch? Trying to get in and out before work

Just signed up today..took probably 5 minutes in and out. If you already have a chase account of some sort, all of your information is already in their system.
This is a good point .. while I have multiple Chase cards, I'm not a bank customer. So it took about 20 minutes for me because more questions, attempted to get me to open an account and the standard $225 offer, etc.
The last 5 minutes was calling in to get the card expedited so I could buy stuff sooner
I understand that it takes 5 business days for a sapphire product change to fall off of your account. I did mine last Friday. Therefore if I apply Wednesday I understand I'll be auto denied for already having a sapphire product. Can I apply then call the reconsideration line the Friday after and get accepted?

There are no data points, one way or the other, to answer your question with confidence. (And I wouldn't care to hazard a guess. Chase's treatment of applications can be so inconsistent at times.)
I'd suggest you do so. If you apply on Wednesday, your application ID will be dated that day. You will still get your 100K offer even though you get the same app approved later than the offer end date by Recon.

The article the other user posted below you from TPG states chase could end the promo at any time Wednesday and that it's not necessarily end of day. With that in mind should I just apply Tuesday then wait to call reconsideration til Friday?
Does anyone know if I can submit a purchase to my new Sapphire card without receiving it in the mail yet? Of course I have a chance at a big purchase today with friends....Thanks
The point is we do not know the definite end date of the offer. Chase has never made official announcement about it. Several blogs say the end date is Wed, so we assume this info is reliable. If you are afraid Chase would pull off the offer on Wed, then go ahead and apply on Tuesday. All you need to do is to lock the application date before the offer ends. You have 30 days from the application date to get Recon review the same application. Once over 30 days you'll need to re-apply coz your consent to Chase reviewing your hard pulled credit report will have been expired.

I have both a no fee Sapphire and Sapphire Reserve from many years ago that I downgraded today. My wife just applied last Friday for the Preferred 100K bonus And is waiting on approval, to use her referral link. Is it too late to do that to snag the 100K for myself which expires in two days since I only did the PC out of the two sapphires today? I guess worse case I need to go in Branch to sign up on the 6th? Or just apply asap and hope the honor the 100k SUB
While your wife is awaiting the approval, she is unable to generate a referral link for you. And either you sign up online or in branch will get auto denied since your old Sapphire account is not cleared off on Chase's system as of yet. Recent DPs show that the wait time is 10 to 14 days for in-branch application and 7 to 10 days for online. You may sign up before the end date just to lock the application date even though you will be denied, then contact Recon later to review your app. You have 30 days from the application date to have Recon review your app. If Recon finally approves your app after your old Sapphire accounts are cleared off on Chase's system within 30 days, you will still get the 100K bonus points, assuming meeting the $4K minimum spend requirement.

It took me less than 15 mins including the wait time to go through the application and get the approval. I don't an existing Chase account, but the rep was very fast + efficient.
I've done a PC this morning not knowing the offer ends in 2 days. Would it be too soon to apply tomorrow of the day after to qualify for the bonus offer?
