I started watching a lot of comparison videos between the CX, C1, and Sony A80J because I wanted to be sure which one would be the better investment. Here's the notes I've written so far based on the side-by-side comparison videos I've watched:

Clarity/dimensionality: A80J>C1>CX
Motion: C1>CX(?)A80J
Brightness: CX>C1(?)A80J
Gaming: C1>CX>A80J
Reds: C1>A80J>CX
Greens: A80J>C1>CX
Yellows: A80J>C1>CX
Skin tones: C1>CX(?)A80J

It seems that one of the most noticeable differences between the C1 and CX is the reds. The CX displays red as more of an orange-red and the C1 displays purer reds. Also, in the side-by-side comparison, the C1 seemed to have more clarity/detail.

Cable/ Satt provider can barely handle 1080/720 resolution. Current streaming sites can only offer ultra compressed 4K content. Unless they invent a new data compression algorithm that will not degrade content quality. I do not see 8K being of any service to anyone except professionals.

8k streaming, much like 4k streaming will utilize compression. No streaming service in existence uses uncompressed video. The current H.264 and HEVC will soon be replaced with AV1 compression which will allow 8k streaming at 30 mbps.

The scary thing about the reviews is that if you check out the 5 star reviews, they are all about how easy it is to register and how it gives them peace of mind, but none relate to the actual coverage. The bad reviews are all about how it's impossible to get service or difficult to contact them.
That's probably pretty much the case with all 3rd party warranties. The only TV warranties I've seen that are worthwhile are Best Buy's and Microcenter's, but both are pricey. Costco's is great for the period they handle, after that you are dealing with Square Trade which is only slightly better than CPS.

As I said a little earlier, I got one from them last week. Put in an offer late on Wednesday night for $3033, was immediately countered at $3099, I thought about it but held off and then the next afternoon my offer of $3033 was accepted. Since I'm in an 8% sales tax area, that's like getting it for $2800. I can't see beating that in store anytime soon. That was this past Thursday and they sent out tracking info the next day.

I just got my 77" CX from costco delivered. Contemplating whether to keep it or go with Green.... foot fella for C1 or with Video Only on C1... Is there any Video only store left out with CX?

If one available, is it worth it to get it from geen fella or video only and add allstate 3-5yr coverage for 300-500 bucks that would still put up the CX at $2700 which is still 500 cheaper than costco.. Or use buydig deal for 77 C1 model with $200 GC and 4yrs CPS warranty?

I went with the Sony for a couple reasons. First realize they are very similar, LG Display makes all of the panels that LG, Sony, Vizio, and Panasonic use for oleds, so there is not a great difference. That being said, most of the professionals doing reviews on YouTube have stated that the Sony has slightly better motion processing and all agree it is slightly better for TV and movies. The advantage for the LG is in gaming, having 4 hdmi ports versus 2 plus the Sony does not yet have VRR, but since I don't game much that did not come into play. Also the Sony has ATSC 3.0 and the LG does not, and that comes into play if i ever decide to cut the cord. And for me most importantly, I've had 2 previous LG oleds and while I love the picture, I hate the magic remote and the operating system. I'm hoping google is better.
And again, read the reviews on Amazon for the CPS warranties I posted earlier. Google reviews of both. All the 5 star reviews are from people saying it's easy to register and they can sleep better at night, but the one and two star reviews are from people seeking service. I'm not sure any of those 3rd party warranties are worth anything.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. Did you get a chance to review rtings.com, cnet.com for the tv reviews? Just putting them for your review for future needs, I generally review those sites. I earlier had my Samsung Plasma TV that i bought from Amazon reimbursed by SquareTrade (That time costco 3yr tv warranty from squaretrade plan covers tv not bought from Costco, you can buy the plan. But I see that now both TV and Plan both needs to be bought from Costco) when I ran into issue with it in 3 months. It was super hassle free and easy like a breeze to get the full refund from them. Not sure how they are now after Allstate bought them.

Just got out from video only store and the guy offered me 77 C1 for 3K out the door including 5yr warrantech warranty. Worth it to consider over CX from costco at $3330 that includes total 5yr warranty with LG Boom and Hulu credit.. torn to make a decision

If I had a Video Only near me I'd probably buy from them as there are advantages to buying locally. Returns and support are a lot easier. Since I don't have one within half a continent, my 2 options became Costco at $3800 (tax included) with the 2 year Costco warranty and an additional 2 years from CPS, or $3033 from the toe with just the 1 year Sony warranty. I'm gambling on the theory that for most modern electronics, if they have an issue it will show up soon so that's the one year deal. For $750 in savings, I'm hoping any problems come early. I'm almost 60, (Ouch, I've never said that before) and in my whole life I've only had one TV die during an extended warranty. It was a 1st gen LG oled that I had already given to my sister and it died 3 years and 51 weeks into its 4 year warranty, and Microcenter gave me a gift card for the full amount when I brought it in. I bought that warranty because oleds were brand new then and thus had no track record, but nowadays it's a known tech.
LG does sell an extended warranty, I currently have a 65" oled E7 and I know i used to receive repeated emails from them to purchase it. Nowadays, for a new $3500 oled LG wants $103 for 1 additional year, 186 for 2 and 277 for 3. If I was buying an LG and wanted the extended warranty, I'd probably go that route rather then CPS.
