Yes, it was $35 in Walmart in 2017 but it wasn't the same Kamado. What you are talking about is the Akorn Kamado Jr which is normally $149. This is the Kamado Joe Jr which is normally $399.

I have a Classic II as well. I'm tempted, heard people usually get the Jr. for it's portability. They're able to take it camping or in a RV or something.
I imagine it'll be quicker to heat up, use less charcoal, etc, but I'm not sure. There's probably tons of videos/reviews out there recommending either way

It's very heavy to carry around. I bought mine to take on trips but bring a small Weber now instead.
