I had the old version... And now this version. Really can't go wrong with it - has been great for me.

I can confirm these are Frank and Beans safe.

The battery on these will start to wear out in 2-3 years. Not that it is not expected, but just giving you a heads up.

These do work really well. In fact, I have been using it for the past year during Covid to buzz the sides of my head and fade up (3 fade to 4 setting).

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Hubby got this the last time there was a deal on at Target. He found it good for trimming underarm hair but just ok for other grooming. It's convenient and handles sensitive areas without nicks but doesn't get as close as wet shaving with a blade (that's probably stating the obvious, but worth mentioning). Does anyone with one have any tips for that? It's leaving some stubble & redness on his body. For those who already have this, do you use creams or soap or just go in 'dry'?

Oh and for those who haven't realized or read the description, this isn't meant for use on the face.

Which end? With the guard or the foil?

Dry, 100%. It performs way worse in a wet or steam setting.

The foil side for sure. You have to experiment with it a little, but it's def safe.

Got it (8000 version kinda the same as this) for 35 on costco deal last month. Pretty awesome. upgrading from an older Norelco from 6 years ago (which still works ok). Will use the new one for face, the old for body. definitely a cleaner trim on the face ( I keep a stubble look)

Thanks. The guard end didn't seem like it'd get close enough... the foil end made me nervous. I had bad experiences with "foil shavers" on my face / neck many years ago so I've haven't used one since... got the willies just thinking about what that could do down below.
