Just a heads up. These have a delay to them so watching videos is not ideal. The open design makes them prone to dust and debris getting caught inside; can become a nuisance to some. Play pause is only set to the right earpiece.
Good point, MSRP was $50 at the time.
But it goes to show that be careful on budget earphones (or anything) bc sometimes you waste money by trying to save money, only to later on buy the higher end ones bc the cheaper ones were not worth it at all.
Just my 2 cents

I've been using these for a couple of months.

I like them. I don't love them, but I like them.

First of all - I don't much care for the open-top case. I think snapping shut would be much better. I have a difficult time carrying them in a normal pocket without it becoming an issue, and I think a top would help.

I have had the occasional issue with the Left and Right getting disconnected from one another. It's not a supper difficult fix, but I would rather not do it. It involves unpairing them from the phone, tapping each of them several time putting them in the case, taking them out of the case and hoping it worked. Hint, it doesn't always work right the first time, but it's not a constant issue. It seems to crop up when one of them dangles out of the case for too long un-noticed.

The sound quality to me is pretty good. I'm not a good judge of that, my hearing sucks, so being able to hear it makes a huge difference. I can hear it.

People can usually hear me in most normal situations. Since they're binaural I can hear them better than I can with a regular headset. I work on roadways - I can't put my hands over my ears and continue to talk on these because the people can't hear me when I do that. When I'm between the main and toll lanes on a lift working in a cabinet I can't necessarily hear them either. I don't blame these, I can't hear them with just the phone either. I really need some over-the-ear stuff for my hard hat.

In short, I nearly bought another pair weekend before last. My toddler took off with my wife's cheap RCA set and lost one of the earbuds. I went to Best Buy to get these, they were $25, but some Skull Candy ones were on sale for $30. I got those instead. The sale wasn't quite good enough for me to consider it a Slick Deal to post here, but I think I made the right choice. My wife likes those, and honestly I considered swiping them for myself. That, and the case has a lid on those. Were these to have been $17 then I think my wife would probably be rocking a set just like mine.

Can anyone speak to the quality of the microphone on these?

I have owned these for several months now and have never had any issues with them falling out. Most likely a YMMV situation.

No delay for me on Android, Windows, and MacOS.
Sound quality is great in my opinion. (I personally like canal-style earbuds for that plugged ear/seal feeling. I use the JLab Signature EQ setting)
Microphone quality is the worst thing about these earbuds. My friends tell me there is a small constant light buzz. (To be expected from a cheap pair of earbuds + bluetooth + mics by the ear + no audio processing [back to cheap pair for earbuds])

TLDR: Get these for true wireless listening.

Darn. Just purchased these like 3 days ago for $2 more. Just got them yesterday so I'm still trying them out. They have better sound then I was expecting for the price.

I agree. I bought these for $30 from Best Buy and weren't a fan. I have the Galaxy Buds+ now and love them so much more bc it's way lighter on the ears

it feels like impossible to find anything < $25 with great microphone. seems to be the common thing among these cheap BT buds.

well you're comparing (MSRP) $99 vs $25 items.

Falling out is 💯 a ymmv issue. I have 2 pairs and they NEVER fall out, I mow in them, go to the gym in them, and use at work also. No issues with them falling out on my end.

The video delay is often a codec issue. SBC, for example, will show delays whereas aptX LL and (sometimes) AAC won't.

I have a set of JLABS - the close case ones - bought from BB about a year. They have worked fine. There is an occasional disconnect issue. The last time it happened I was listening to music and a call came in and the buds would not connect to the music after the call. Had to turn it off and on again to reconnect. I really like the built in wire for charging, not having to fuss with another wire is a nice feature. Although the wire is really short. May pickup a set of white ones from this deal.
