It's been that price a few times, between Vudu and iTunes and it's MA compatible. Although I can't imagine watching it more than once.

The clarity improvement in resolution between 4K and HD should really only be noticeable if you have a very large screen or sit very close to your TV, right?
Or is the thought that you'll own the 4K version for future proofing, in case HDR or Atmos ever get added to these 4K versions in the future?
Are you saying the movies have HDR, but them remove it when they sell the digital version? Or that these films don't have HDR at all, physical disc or otherwise?
