no hate, was looking on maybe jumping in on this, but it looks like the x-lock is only compatible with x-lock accessories. I have a lot of other brand discs and really don't want to buy more! just wanted to throw it out there in case it would affect someone's decision

Yes, that is the point. I believe the X-lock system will become standard. Bosch is ahead of the game in new technology.
