say, you're right... i personally don't have experience with these... how much would a quality one cost? vs, maybe $10 in spray paint to repaint it, so it won't rust?

Awesome deal on one of these. It's one of those things you can get in off season cheap.
This is a pretty normal price for something like this. The mesh screens are really dumb for this type product as it adds a thousand places for rust to start.
Even covered under a patio, this won't last. If you need one, make it out of treated wood, they have bracket kits on Amazon too.
Just learn to stack the wood, there's no need for anything like this, if you want to keep the bottom layer off the ground stick a couple long sticks under it

I think it makes a big difference properly getting it off the ground...

Pepple that buy things like this arent camping for a weekend. People store cords and cords worth of wood. Think literally tons when wet.
Speaking from experience sticks aint up to the task.
I must have lost a cord of wood trying it nevertheless.
You are giving advice like you have real experience with a woodstove. Its plain you do not.
If anyone is considing buything this, dont. Kingso is good for kindling only and thats likely giving it more credit thwt is deserves.
Landmann (with two n) is the best i have found so far.
Keep them up on slabs or blocks and out of the rain regardless of brand.

100% wrong. People who buy things like this are impulse buyers, window shoppers, definitely not outdoors people. No person who stores cords of woods would ever go near this thing.

He was downplaying to show how simple it is to store and how worthless this product is.
He obviously didn't mean sticks, he meant treated 2x4s or 4x4s, and I've used landscape lumber with excellent results.
As someone mentioned, keeping off the ground is key, so what is the difference what keeps it off the ground?

You can make a V shape ones with one cinderblock or you can make one like the one posted here with two cinderblocks
