Except on the rare exception HF coupon special, you cannot use the for clearance, sale, or reduced items, and anyhow you cannot use them on compressors, floor jacks, etc.

Cannot be used with other discount, coupon or any of the following items or brands: Inside Track Club membership, Extended Service Plan, Gift Card, Open Box Item, Instant Savings, compressors, floor jacks, power stations, safes, storage cabinets, chests or carts, trailers, welders, Admiral, Ames, Atlas, Avanti, Bauer, Central Machinery, Cobra, CoverPro, Daytona, Diamondback, Drummond, Earthquake, Fischer, Hercules, Icon, Jupiter, Poulan, Predator, Viking, Vulcan, Zurich.
That is what I assumed. You confirmed what I already thought. I was replying to post #60 that was claiming a better deal at Harbor Freight. This is the only air compressor at Harbor Freight that comes close to the Porter-Cable deal for almost 33% more cost and no free shipping: https://www.harborfreight.com/air...68740.html Personally, I am happy with the Porter-Cable and am glad I bought one. It is retail sealed new, more portable, cheaper cost, free shipping, and at least the one I got works great.

Right now HD has the version with the basic hose and 3 nail guns included for $199: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Porte.../312030570

It's actually a good deal given how prices have been the past 2 years. I bought this same bundled version for $150 on sale 6 years ago but the last time I saw that happen was 3 years ago. I just bought a Ridgid to replace the PC because the air regulator on the PC started leaking after 2 years and has been getting progressively worse over the past 4 years. Nail guns are still solid.
I bought that same kit about 15 years ago and it is still going strong. I'm homeowner and not a contractor, so it doesn't get used daily. That kit used to cost $299

It costs $199.00 (+ free shipping) in Southern California (my zip code area) right now at Home Depot. Other areas of Southern California it is going for $299.00 ( + free shipping). Big price differences in zip codes. I always check different zip codes when buying items shipped from Home Depot. Their prices are always different. $199.00 dollars shipped with the nail guns is a good deal.

It can also be used to blow out sprinkler lines for winter (it will take much longer than with a big compressor, but it will work).

I use nailers (brad/finish) with mine a lot for hobby woodworking, putting up trim and repairing the fence. Pneumatic nailers are both lighter and cheaper than battery powered ones.
With this? My brother's 30 gallon wasn't even enough, we had to sit around and wait for it to refill a couple times and when we got to the last zone and it drained again we gave up

Does this come with a hose and spray nozzle? If not, could someone please recommend me a good one
These basic Walmart kits are generally good starting points. Coil hoses are nice because they are easy to put away when done. These are 1/4" ID hose which does restrict flow. No good if you want to use an impact wrench.

This is an interesting alternative.

It comes with a 25' 3/8" PVC hose. PVC hose is fine when the weather is warm. When cold it becomes very stiff and not fun to work with. The flip side is the hose is plenty for running an impact wrench because it's a 3/8" ID. Minor thing, this kit appears to be short one male fitting.

If money is less a concern I would suggest getting a 50' 3/8" rubber hose, a set of fittings (typically not sold with the hose) and one of the coil hose kits above.

Is this good for the periodic inflating of bicycle tires (40 - 50 PSI)?

Absolutely. It might even be overkill for bicycle tires. The Porter-Cable Air Compressor is capable of up to 150 PSI.

How do I know which ones are quiet models? Are they labeled as such?
I have a quiet one I purchased from Lowe's (it is tagged as such), a Kobalt model, and it is VERY quiet. I could be standing next to it running in a closed garage and still hold a conversation (no joke). What do you give up to go quiet? Quite a lot actually, but my needs are very limited. Mine has a 2 gallon capacity so far less. It is also heavy at 46 pounds and it has a lower CFM rating. If you can live with that, go quiet. If not you'll need to get one like this and put up with the noise.

If I already have something to inflate tires, is this not worth getting for a home owner?
This, IMO is useful... I've used it to paint small panels (fender flares for a truck, front grill for truck, etc.), i've used it to inflate tires (in SECONDS!) I've used it to air dust everything that needed heavy dusting. I've used it to blow the lines on my AC system (the port where you pour bleach or vinegar in for maintanence). You'll be surprised at all the crud in there until you air compress it out.

I've also hooked it up to an impact gun i had a while back. I used it to remove all 4 brake discs on a car. It wasn't needed but it helped me feel comfortable not using a breaker bar on a car that was on all 4 jacks

OF COURSE you'll need all the appropriate attachments to make this air compressor useful! Hope it helps!

Ive owned one for about 5 years now and use it for nail gun to install base boards, inflate tires, inflate pool floaties, air gun, and sander. Its worked very well for me. I am a big fan of Porter Cable as I have the 1st gen 18V Lithium battery tool set and its still running strong after 8 years and MANY MANY uses.
