Total 180 days active service (actually, a little less than 180 days) is required on the device. doesn't need to be continuous from personal experience. I think Cricket keeps track of active days by IMEI.
My iPhone was unlocked at 177 days, 3 days early, so before I had to pay for the 7th month. I didn't mess around and move service anywhere else, so YMMV. I didn't use the phone every day of those 177 days, but did use it at least every week.

you don't have to use the phone every week.
most important part is don't use that sim in a different device at all.
Maybe this is already answered. How difficult is it to get the bootloader unlocked for the device? Do we need to keep service for 6 months and have it carrier unlocked before we get a bootloader unlock?

Cricket like most other carriers (except Tmobile/ metro PCS) do not allow Moto to provide bootloader unlocked. Period.
SIM unlock is completely different matter.
6 months paid service make sure you are using paid service on the phone (they verify IMEI usage) and cricket will unlock easily.

For this moto g power, I was trying to click "unlock" from my cricket account, it says "you have to use the myCricket app to unlock your device".
This is new to me. Because with iPhone and Samsung phone, there's countdown timer to show "eligible for unlock in xxx days", now this moto g power has no countdown timer for unlocking purpose.
So if I use the moto g power on cricket account#1 for 30 days then account #2 for 150 days, total 180 days, would that qualifies for unlocking?
How unlocking through myCricket app goes? What's the procedure?
