Thanks for this coupon!!!

the coupon works with the various models and I applied the senior discount to get the price down even further.

with the least expensive model 20UN0007US using this coupon instead of the default one and combining the senior discount you can get it at $962.05 (before taxes).

I went with the model (20UN005KUS) that had a slightly better processor and got it at $1013.17.

My current 5th gen X1 Carbon is running fine but this X1 Nano is at 1.99lbs compared to my 2.4 lbs Carbon. plus the display is 2160 x 1350 and brighter at 450 nits compared to the 300 nits on my 5th gen carbon.

Thanks again!

$1100 for a low-performance 4-core CPU and no dedicated graphics? Also for a laptop over $1k you would also expect a 1TB SSD or higher. If you look carefully at the specs this is not that good of a "deal." For this price you can get a Ryzen 5800H + 3060 that will blow this out of the water. I guess what you are paying for here is the slim chasis that will throttle your performance anyways
This is terrible information. We deploy these out to our mobile power users and they are incredibly power and fantastic performance when multitasking with +10 intensive apps.

You're mention dedicated graphics and the 3060 which means you are talking about a gaming laptop. This is obviously not that. This is a ultraportable work horse. If you want a gaming laptop, you can get one with dedicated graphics card in a bulk laptop that weighs twice as much at a similar price point. Totally different applications.

HI, do you think you need 32gb of ram considering these are ultraportable. Or is 16gb more than enough?

Darn, out of stock for the 1tb. Is it worth the extra money for the i7-1180g7?

Comes with a touchscreen but you can't use the 15% off coupon stacked with student. It below their price floor for the model. It ends up around $220 more than this listed one iirc.

Our entire software dev team has the exact same model running IDEs, database software, web, light Linux virtualization and office productivity apps. We tested pretty thoroughly and never had any issues running all those apps and compiling code. It all depends on how heavy your workload is, but 16gb seems to be enough for our heavy users and we've never had complaints.

how's the cpu? 4 cores seems pretty ... lacking for that much office/dev work

In my experience, the four core has been more than enough to multitask like crazy. I can have +20 tabs in Chrome, multiple services running in the background, and +5 applications running and have never seen a slowdown. I work in infrastructure so I do a lot of heavy scanning and run tons of programs simultaneously. I just tested scanning the entire network with 9 apps running and the cpu barely went above 35% with no lag. We did work with them to ensure it fit their needs and they loved it. But they were also looking for a ultraportable since they travel and go to other sites quite frequently and were sick of carrying a 14-15 in laptop that weighed 4-5lbs. They might have accepted the slight performance hit to enjoy the portability of the X1.

I reached out to some of them to see if they have noticed any bottlenecks. I'll let you know what they say.

Edit: I should mention my original point was that I feel this will fit anyone's needs to have a ton of office/normal apps open. It is a very powerful machine, but it does sacrifice a bit for portability. If you are not working daily in multimedia or want a gaming machine, this should be enough for a vast majority of people's applications.

If you're looking for a potent laptop, this laptop is not for you.

This laptop is for people who look for a laptop that is extremely light yet equipped with an amazing display and X1 build quality.

The performance of the laptop is decent for most people who would only use it for Office work, web browsing, and video streaming.
I'm wondering if all you're going to use this for us office work, web browsing, and video streaming, is it worth the 1k+price tag? Also saying 'no HDMI'... is not a thing anymore? 😂

I own this model. I only use the machine for those purposes. It's worth the price tag for the display and the build quality. I never use the HDMI port. There are different people who have different preferences. This is a great machine and a good deal for people like me.
