Also, this is just the accommodations. You would still be on the hook for airfare, activities, and food (which I have heard prices are insane). This looks to me like a teaser entry to an escalator... a vacation easily totalling $12,000 or more.

Virgin islands, Turks & c, Bahamas can be hit and miss, but there are some amazing areas there etc.
The only thing I don't think is close are those glass bottom over the water villas.... Does anyone know the closest one?
I hit 3: Mt Rainier, Olympic, and North Cascades, in that order.
I loved them all but didn't get to properly see North Cascades (the easiest hike is 3miles+). I plan to go back in the fall. The colors are gorgeous that time of year. Here's an awesome video of it: https://youtu.be/GJfobSNdPEs
Washington national parks don't require appointment. I heard California parks are because of the reopening demands.
For the person asking how an 8 day trip in Seattle cost 5k, it's not Seattle but surrounding areas.
Car rental: ~$700. For most people it would be near $1k. I got lucky and got a great deal.
Flight: I got a great deal. $140/person round trip. Expect to pay around $300/person or more.
Hotels: ~$180/night incl all fees so about $1.5k
Food: 3 meals/day x 8 at various establishments. Food in Washington is surprisingly a bit more expensive than even SoCal. My tally was around $1k. Tacoma has some great steaks though. Well worth the price.
Miscellaneous: ferry fees, toll fees, gifts, gas, tickets to attractions like the space Needle, Chihuly garden, etc.

Maldives is expensive, I've been there twice, going back at the end of Sept.
Again if your looking to go to one of these nice resorts thinking your can do it on a budget, just remember it's like going to a 5 star steak house restaurant and ordering a Mcdonalds happy meal

It's higher.. 15$ your talking abt price of a snickers bar
No, you can't. No pork either.
Hell, with 5 nights... I'd just have figured out where the ice is kept, and have just re-found my flip flops again under the bed to take a moonlit walk!! 😂🤣
Please DO post of you schedule a reservation!! 👌
I flew this on a nonstop LAX to Rarotonga SD on Air New Zealand before COVID hit for under $500 RT. Food isn't nearly as expensive as Bora Bora and the people are awesome as they are half New Zealanders and many are from relationships with American GIs who came to the islands in the 1940s and built an airbase. Very safe and laid back place.
Aitutaki is amazing, do some Google searches. If you really were set to hit Bora Bora it's only 500 miles from the Cook Islands.
Wow, where do you live, lol

Advice: get dive certified before going (probably PADI). If you can't atleast do the online portion and test and complete the water portion there.
I would second getting certified at home.. I would even do checkout dives at home and make sure you feel 100% ready. I am partial to NAUI and SSI over PADI but I always suggest learning at home over resort classes. Every diver I have met that was bent on a boat was a Resort PADI diver.
