That really undercuts the slickness of this deal. It retails for 9.99 at Lowes.
Same price at Lowes if that helps anyone. https://www.lowes.com/pd/IRWIN-Di...lsrc=aw.ds
Do yourself a favor and get Klein or Knipex. And make sure they're steel cutting and angled head. This is one of those tools that should never be substituted for a lower quality one.

The insulation on the handle looks a little different, but they are the same model number.... ‎2078306, which are about $10 everywhere for everyday price.

If you already paid for Prime, $7.50 delivered is not a bad deal....

I used to like Irwin, but I own some clamps of theirs and they are rusting after only sitting in a drawer for 8 years with maybe 5 uses on them.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank httyuwma

Easier to get a close cut, get into tight spaces, and will give leverage for "pulling" things, such as removing nails or tightening tie wire.

it's also a more natural feel when using..

personally I use :
Klein Tools D248-9ST Pliers, Ironworker's Diagonal Cutting Pliers with High Leverage Design
Amazing tool for $27 on Amazon

AFAIK, neither Klein nor Knipex make 6" diagonal cutters with Angled Heads. And even if they did, they would sell for closer to $27, not $7.

I would use this purely for cutting zip ties. I can't imagine this getting ruined by zip ties lol

Okay, hand-tool pros. I have to cut some thin steel 2" x 15" long strips down to 2" squares for a project. Would like to avoid power tools, usually ends badly with me getting a bit of metal embedded in my cornea. The cuts don't have to be machine-shop perfect. I assume there is some sort of snip for a job like this. Can any of you suggest a specific one? Thanks in advance---

If a lot of pieces try a nibbler or metal shear

They are pretty good, bought them for 9 something a few weeks ago at Amazon. Pretty comfortable handle and don't require too much force to cut.
