A Quiet Place 2 is coming to Paramount + in July. May be be worth signing up for that.

If you cancel right away, you'll only get 1 month of service, since the promotion is not charging you for a 2-month sub all at once. If you want the second month for a buck, you can't cancel until you're charged your second monthly subscription fee, at the earliest.

The AMC+ trial is worth it just to watch Gangs of London. It's one of the best new shows I've watched in the last couple of years, but nobody knows about it because it's stuck on a weird streaming service.

I signed up for AMC+ a while back thinking "Cool, I can watch my AMC favorites: Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Halt and Catch Fire and The Killing." But no, no, no and no.
That really does suck. But there's nothing that can be done, legally. They gotta honor their contract. AMC+ has a free trial though, so I hope you were able to cancel before you were charged if you didn't like their selection.

Regarding the PBS streaming, I encourage all to donate (recurring monthly?) to your local station.
At $15/mo, I am able to stream all PBS shows (for me at least) plus the tax write off.

Location is South Carolina.
It's called PBS Passport and it costs a minimum donation of $5 a month.

I am in Ohio and we are at a minimum $5/mo for passport. Looking at some of the other larger cities around me (Pittsburgh, Chicago, Detroit) they are also at the $5 dollar rate. Must vary by station.

But supporting the stations themselves is better than giving extra money to Jeff.
I don't think Jeff is making any money for selling us a subscription for $1/mo, but don't worry, I'll cancel after the promotional price is done. Can't wait to finally check out those Masterpiece shows I've been missing!

Did you try? I didn't go all the way thru confirm but, the only payment methods I see available to pay for either subscription are the credit cards on file. No option for digital credits OR gift card balance
Not yet, I wanna wait until the last day (Jun 22) to sub to these since I'm currently binging shows on my free 30-day Paramount+ trial.

Even discovery plus came with missing (current) shows and an app that you can't delete items that auto-played accidentally :/
You can't even disable autoplay in Paramount+. I don't know why streaming providers think autoplay is a desirable feature, and even you like it for the show you're currently watching, having autoplay automatically play unrelated shows is incredibly obnoxious.

Autoplay is definitely a highly desirable feature, but not for unrelated shows. That's just stupid and probably an attempt to artificially boost their viewing numbers. The MOST annoying thing about Paramount+, though, is the lack of a Watchlist feature (on their dedicated app/website - not an issue when subbed via Amazon Prime Channels, I don't think). In the year 2021. Definitely unsubbing after my free month is over until they get their site up-to-date.

There are so many subscription streaming services now!!! Remember the good old days when everything was mostly on Netflix for one fee?
But "everything" wasn't on Netflix. It was a revolving door of a handful watchable stuff and the rest was the Walmart DVD bargain bin.

Hulu's autoplay works the same way (play unrelated shows) but at least you can disable it. Yes, the lack of a Watchlist in Paramount+ is indeed stupid. I doubt it will ever get added, since that's been missing since CBS All Access started in 2014 and they can hardly be unaware of the complaints.

You use the Amazon website/Prime App to search, find, and watch and not directly thru the 3rd party services site/app (e.g., discovery+), correct?

No, you can't even use your Amazon Gift credits for subscriptions. Credit or debit cards only.

It will tell you that right before you click the subscribe button.
I'm not sure what you're doing different from me but I've been able to use my 'No Rush shipping' credits to pay for these 99 cent trials. It doesn't actually even give me choice, it uses up my credits first.
I did AMC+ in March. Epix in April and Discovery+ just now.

It's worked for others SDers too. https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=147093574&postcount=48

Thus the word "mostly" in my comment. It wasn't perfect but there was a TON more in one place than this subscription craziness.
