I agree. Cricut moving to a subscription model is total garbage. I hope someone hacks these to run on an open source software. Heck, even their cricut design software is subpar to the free SVG editors out there.

That is not correct they didn't go through with the subscription requirement. You can do as many projects and uploads as you want for free.
