Would it be an OK upgrade from huawei mate 9? My 3+ year old phone, mate 9, still going strong now has a cracked glass and it will cost half of what TCL 10L is to replace the glass. I am trying to decide and any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am T-Mo and Mate 9 only has 41 but not 71 or 66. The TCL 10L has 41 and 66 but not 71

i need to replace daughters moto g7 power and haven't decided on this or the moto g power 2020. this is a bit cheaper and slightly better specs but the battery is a bit smaller. kinda leaning towards moto...

Had the mate 9, now mate 20. You won't be happy with an inferior phone

Moto has better software but their software updates are slow and stop sooner than others. Check out One Plus Nord also. The nice thing about low end phone is that they don't drain battery nearly as fast as flagships.

1- Moto G8 power:
Same OS (android 10)
Same screen
Same CPU (snapdragon 665)
Same GPU (adreno 610)
Same Emmc internal storage (64 gb)

Better battery (5000 mah vs 4000 mah) and charging (18w vs 10w)

Worst cameras for G8 Power
Less ram for G8 Power (4 vs 6)
G8 power lack: NFC and compass

Price: $157 for TCL & $160 for G8 power, both phone from early 2020.


2- Moto One Fusion
Same OS (android 10)
Same Emmc internal storage (64 gb)
Similar cameras

Better CPU (snapdragon 710)
Better GPU (adreno 616)
Better battery (5000 mah vs 4000 mah)

Worst screen for One Fusion (270 ppi vs 395 ppi)
Less ram for One Fusion (4 vs 6)
One Fusion lack: NFC and compass

Price: $157 for TCL & $150 for One Fusion

3- Redmi 9
Same OS (android 10)
Same Emmc internal storage (64 gb)
Same screen
NFC for both

Better CPU (Helio G80)

In my opinion there is not need to hurry for this deal because the other options are always there in that price point.
