AMD's RX 6700 XT probably wasn't intended to compete directly with Nvidia's RTX 3070, but the graphics card market is all kinds of messed up right now in terms of pricing tiers. On paper, the RTX 3070 costs $20 more, which basically means the two compete in the same market segment. Nvidia comes away with a minor win in rasterization gaming performance, but its lead only grows with more demanding rendering scenarios like ray tracing. DLSS seals the deal, considering over 30 major games now support the tech, along with Unreal Engine and Unity, and AMD still doesn't have a shipping alternative. If you're after higher frame rates, RTX 3070 beats RX 6700 XT in most of the games we've tested.
i bought this when this was $1300 back in Feb. Good PC but the CPU runs a little hot. I got a nice Gigabyte OC gaming silent 3070 but my mother boards a ASROCK. kinda sucks. The blue tooth and wireless on this mother board isn't that great. There are some people that got nice motherboards. It's luck of the draw. Overall, I'm really content with this considering the chip shortage. I originally was trying to build a PC but i bought this right before GPU's sky rocketed double to triple its price. By mid march, this PC was $1400. This PC was $1600 a couple weeks ago.

For what it's worth, I bought this system a while back. MSI RTX 3070 Ventus X2 card, decent specs, 800W Apevia, which isn't a great brand, but it worked fine, didn't blow up or anything. In this climate, it was a decent setup, ran a little hot because of the case, but ran 3DMark, Heaven and other benches without getting too hot.
It's my oldest son's daily driver (after replacing the 3070 with his existing Radeon 580, heh... that 3070 went into my system), and he does PCVR gaming on it, as well as a lot of 1080p gaming. It's been working well for him.
