I should note I don't use YouTube TV myself so no first hand experience but it has been reported on tivocommunity that the issue is fixed (which makes sense given that the device is being given as a promo to Youtube TV subscribers).

thanks. how do you map buttons on remote? do you install that app on phone or sideload on Tivo to use it? is there a play/pause button option we can map to the tivo4k remote?

You can download it from google play directly from the tivo get the free one and when you use it it will ask you to pay but you can skip that and is still fully functional. and play pause I use the center dpad button never had to change it

Anyone with this device have any links to cheap Amazon usb-c hubs that work with external HDD without issue? Looking at ones below for example

I use plex and kodi for local streaming and also a 128gb thumb drive with a usb-c to usb adapter and works perfectly.
I prefer plex it has a more polished interface and does a better job scrapping metadata and I do use the free plex as I'm cheap

It must have the same guts as the Verizon Stream TV box because that was not working with YouTube tv either the last few months up until this week.

just got email for free Tivo Stream 4K for YTTV. Too bad the TiVo site is pure trash. Crashing and cant handle the traffic.
