The distinction which launches the article I shared (which did center on Verizon) is the same for T-Mobile: the form of 5G which would provide the benefits touted by some sources is exceptionally rare. T-Mobile gives their own version of this which is fairly telling:
https://www.t-mobile.com/news/net...-and-speed
T-Mobile's TLDR is that:
AT&T is an open liar (i.e. 5GE is faux 5G)
Verizon has some work to do on expanding mmWave 5G
(And by extension delivering on the promise of 5G)
Please don't take notice that T-Mobile is also not delivering mmWave 5G
(Basically they talk a lot of trash about mmWave without highlighting the distinction on what it delivers: true, low-latency, gigabit 5G capacity)
While T-Mobile touts the expansion of mid-band 5G, you will notice no mention of a huge mmWave deployment of their own... because they don't have one. More specifically they have very little spectrum in that space and no significant plans for deploying it beyond the few high-density scenarios which will distinguish 5G for years to come: stadiums and high-density urban centers like the middle of Times Square.

Instead what T-Mobile has done is dedicated more of their existing 4G LTE network to 5G in the same way they quickly repurposed their 3G network to 4G in a bid to maintain relevance in the 4G era. At the time, they lacked the desirable low-band real estate purchased by Verizon, but saw they could maximize the efficiency of the bandwidth they had. The way that plays out similarly today is a 5G network which provides an incremental efficiency improvement over the prior network configuration and whose growth is built upon mid-band spectrum acquired from Sprint.

Maybe some of this is interesting to someone(?).
Good luck!

The A32 only has a 720p screen and Mediatek processor.
Comparison:

The main advantage to the A32 is in theory it should have a physically better camera.
Edit: The deal from Metro has been added to this post with the instant full rebate. Now that's a deal!

I'm more of the 13 years solid with AAA type person, so these deals are just money sitting on the table.
Is there something better I should do with the lines that I have? I'll be with T-Mobile for the foreseeable future.
The effective residual value for both of these phones should be pretty near zero. The only way this will be proven otherwise is when later trade-in deals feature these phones.
Good luck!
Jon
I ordered 1st day when available and unlocked after 40 days and put it on swappa. By now already there are dozens of new unopened A32 or mint/open box opened and unlocked devices there offered between 160-200. I think mine sold for 190 for the buyer plus tax. Discount the $10 swappa fee, PayPal fee, USPS shipping fee (~12) or so I essentially made a little more than $100 net. If you count all the time spent on it there are better ways to make money. I wanted to try one time. Keep in mind I had to pay the $270 for the phone now and need to wait 2 years to get all that money back.
Since has been out there since 4/18 and I can only imagine that in 2-3 months these things flood the marked and you likely won't fetch more than $100-150 max for a newish one anywhere. Deduct the initial phone cost, your time, and the need to prepay the phone and it may not be worth your time and money.
The thing that comes to mind is the time of the Amazon Fire phone. At some point Amazon dumped them to 3rd party who dumped them on ebay at a steep discount. If you were quick you got a few years of Amazon prime membership years out of it (still not paying) and make a few bucks flipping them, and it was a cheap price for an actually very decent phone, but you could not get rich on the sale as there was also just too much supply.
Maybe they will have some value later for trade-in. I got an A71 for cheap from Samsung and then traded that for an S21, so these type of upgraded may work, but I doubt they will ever take an A32 for an S21 for example or a new iPhone. You may get $200 off or slightly higher on a really good deal.
Better to invest in a used S9 or an 8 Plus/Xs/Xr that you may be able to trade up for a top phone.
It's a great opportunity as a keeper to get a spare, a phone to use at the beach, or if you want to try Android or need another MP3 player or simply just don't care about the latest and just need a decent phone for cheap.
