Depends on what you need. The 10" saw is a lot more expensive (currently ~$250) and the 8-14" saw can handle 95% of what most people will use a table saw for. If you definitely need the extra rip space, slight increase in cutting depth, or dado support, then the 10" is definitely the way to go. For most people, they'll be perfectly fine with this saw and the extra cash, though.

Nice deal! Master class by home Depot of playing the SD community though, driving up demand by having this go in and out of stock multiple times to suggest low supply, when it actually appears they are sitting on a boatload of these. Oh well, capitalism!

Does anyone know, is there a space for on onboard storage for the non through cut riving knife that comes installed in the saw? I replaced it with the blade guard assembly, but didn't see anywhere for the original riving knife to be stored.

Why would you go with an 8 1/4" if you're going to spend this much money? Seems like you'd go for the 10"?

For certain people and use-cases, that can be pretty critical.

Personally, however, I tend to prefer the flexibility of a router for most scenarios where someone might use a dado blade. I can get the same result and do a whole lot more. Additionally, for the current price difference (~$250), someone could buy this saw and a solid quality router and have the best of both worlds.

It's not the right approach for everyone or every situation, but it's definitely what I'd recommend for most people.

Been looking at this for dado and compact form. Just wish the saw was more easily detachable from the stand.

You mount the table saw to mounting brackets, and then the mounting brackets have a squeeze trigger that clips them off/onto the saw rails. About as easy as it could feasibly be to detach from the stand. The brackets have rubber feet on them so you just leave them attached to the saw and they become new feet for the saw.

Nice deal! If you want a 8 1/4" saw that takes a dado you'll have to go with the Milwaukee, but otherwise those Dewalts are great little saws.

If it's setup like the 10" then there is a space for the both riving knives on the same slot. There's a knob below the table on the right, towards the back.
