That is a question loaded with variables. Anyways I will give my data points as a reference. For me here, 5G is a couple miles away on TMO and not that great. However, on my newer devices with the Standalone 5G Sim Card (VS say another same phone that i just popped in old SIM in instead). . .the phones with SA sims get 100-150mbps, where as the non SA sim phones gets 60-100 normally, all other things equal.

Another quirk is the 5G home internet Gateway I recently got. It seems to be non SA 5G, further evidenced by the primary signal always being set at 4G no matter how you twerk the online settings (other than shutting of 4G altogether, which shuts down communication in the end). And keep in mind I never get better than 'Good" signal on the app (There are higher VG and Excellent ratings). . .but when I am at "Good" it pulls from B2 4G or B66 4G. . .and Gives me 50-100Mbps hardwired. . .and when I twist the gateway slightly to where it gives me "Weak" signal. . .it seems to pull off the N71 5G tower and my speeds jump up to 100-200mbps hardwired. For reference, my 4G towers are just under a mile away due east, and the n71 5G tower is roughly 2 miles away and to the NE, so it's not that hard to try and exclude one or the other. . .

The offer is still going but they changed the requirement for the trade in phone: for example now with a pixel 3 series you can get up to 400$ credit and not 800$.

I did a pixle 3a and recieved the 800 credit. It did not show until I entered the trade in info after clicking through upgrade.

You were able to do the trade-in this morning? I just tried using my 3a and I got a message saying "Due to the condition of this device, the trade-in value is $0.00." There's also the message on the S21 page that says the max trade-in value is $500, so it appears this deal is changed/dead so I'm curious how you got a different result.

From my experience, go through support if you must but this always seems to be pretty accurate on currently running promotions.

Honestly, their website isn't always updated as when this promotion started.
You can still get $500 for a P3a if your not on the Max phone plan as well.
Again, the website might say otherwise but confirm with a rep if you must.

I was able to get on this promotion a few days ago (S21 5G) and it worked out better than it was supposed to. On One Plan with plus add-on. Had a One Plus 6t to trade-in. I called (not chat) to place an order. They told me I would get phone (S21 5G) for free after trade-in and credits (though I did have to pay $30 upgrade fee and taxes). She said I would get $36 for my trade-in and #31.xx per month for 24 months. I asked her several times to confirm I would not be getting $200 or $500 for trade-in (though this deal she told me I was getting is better for me as I would end up getting phone basically for free). My assumption based upon my plan I would get maybe $200, and hopefully $500 in trade-in but no credits.

I told her I had concerns about the credit and she reassured me that she documented it twice in notes and was recorded as well.

Fast forward to yesterday. I receive the phone but still concerned about credits/etc. So, I did a chat. Got an agent who looked up account and said that my credit would only be $19.xx. I told him I was assured of $31.xx. He said he would look up terms. He took a bit, but he said I am getting $500 trade-in, plus $19.xx credit each month. He put it in writing and he also noted that is what the offer stated in my file said.

This turned out way better than I was expecting. Now I am crossing fingers that this truly is what comes true after first few bills.

So, recap, was on One Plan with plus add-on, traded in One Plus 6t. I know promo has expired, but just wanted to let others know it might be helpful to reach out to confirm your promo.

Perhaps that $160 is the fair market Trade in value? Normally when you do a trade in for a new phone online, at checkout it actually only shows you the fair market trade in value. The rest, being promo credit, will just start showing up on your account at a later date--if you qualified for the promo and trade goes ok.

EDIT: JMAN100 updated his reddit thread on this deal. . .the $800 off promo ends June 26th.

I see this is marked as dead, but I still see the promo on the promotions page. Is it actually over?
