Update:

The deal is live. I managed to have the live chat order the S21 Ultra on my One Plus promo account and double check the payments and credits. My rep was able to give $800 off my Pixel 3. This was given to me via chat:

This offer will appear on the customer's bill as "2021 Samsung Trade P11".

You will only receive the $33.33 per month credit as long as you remain on an eligible plan. When you downgrade your plan, you will no longer receive the credit.

This is tempting. Last year I got a completely free iPhone SE for trading in an iPhone 7 which I got for free from a friend just for the trade in. It was a confusing deal that I had to talk with T-Force about because I like to know the details. Long story short I think I just paid tax up front and that's it. Now each bill has the SE payment then the credit. So no issues but that's because I'm nuts with this stuff and make sure I know every little detail. I have yet to see anyone in this thread actually break it down though

The offer is still going but they changed the requirement for the trade in phone: for example now with a pixel 3 series you can get up to 400$ credit and not 800$.

You were able to do the trade-in this morning? I just tried using my 3a and I got a message saying "Due to the condition of this device, the trade-in value is $0.00." There's also the message on the S21 page that says the max trade-in value is $500, so it appears this deal is changed/dead so I'm curious how you got a different result.

From my experience, go through support if you must but this always seems to be pretty accurate on currently running promotions.

https://www.t-mobile.com/content/...ffers.html

Honestly, their website isn't always updated as when this promotion started.
You can still get $500 for a P3a if your not on the Max phone plan as well.
Again, the website might say otherwise but confirm with a rep if you must.

Yes did it this morning, I am on a magenta plus plan. Perhaps it's your plan?

I was able to get on this promotion a few days ago (S21 5G) and it worked out better than it was supposed to. On One Plan with plus add-on. Had a One Plus 6t to trade-in. I called (not chat) to place an order. They told me I would get phone (S21 5G) for free after trade-in and credits (though I did have to pay $30 upgrade fee and taxes). She said I would get $36 for my trade-in and #31.xx per month for 24 months. I asked her several times to confirm I would not be getting $200 or $500 for trade-in (though this deal she told me I was getting is better for me as I would end up getting phone basically for free). My assumption based upon my plan I would get maybe $200, and hopefully $500 in trade-in but no credits.

I told her I had concerns about the credit and she reassured me that she documented it twice in notes and was recorded as well.

Fast forward to yesterday. I receive the phone but still concerned about credits/etc. So, I did a chat. Got an agent who looked up account and said that my credit would only be $19.xx. I told him I was assured of $31.xx. He said he would look up terms. He took a bit, but he said I am getting $500 trade-in, plus $19.xx credit each month. He put it in writing and he also noted that is what the offer stated in my file said.

This turned out way better than I was expecting. Now I am crossing fingers that this truly is what comes true after first few bills.

So, recap, was on One Plan with plus add-on, traded in One Plus 6t. I know promo has expired, but just wanted to let others know it might be helpful to reach out to confirm your promo.

Google Pixel 4XL 128GB Black is now down to $160 instead of $800 merely an hour ago. Seems the deal is slowly being scaled back.

Ok, listen up. I chatted with them online and they said the reason it's not showing up is because with the online order process you can only trade in the phone you have on your line. And the phones on my line are a ZTE Max XL and a LG G7 ThinQ. If I want to trade in a phone that I have just laying around, I'll have to get in touch with their Telesales team who'd be able to manually place the order on my behalf. And I'm a Sprint customer btw.

Wish they'd let you just do it online with phones that aren't activated, but oh well.
I'm with sprint too. What happened when you called? Were they able to trade in the non activated phone over telesales? Thanks
