I traded in an old ass 9.7 ipad last time. The trade in department didn't accept it but Samsung manually pushed it through for me, I didn't have to contact them.

This was the email.

"Trade-in chargeback update

We are happy to inform you that there will not be any chargeback related to your trade-in order #xxxxxxxxxxx . No further action is needed at this point."

I received the trade in received email on the 24th and still no approved or declined.
Are the 15 days for the return business days?

Just got a email for my ipad trade in; that they are going to charge me $250, as it's a 5th gen. it also stated that it still had a reduced trade in value. They don't say anything for an offer cost, just that it's not accepted. I requested it back, not worth the ass pain. Won't do this trade in charade again.

Hope they give my original box charger etc and everything I sent back. I even sent the damn documentation and stickers. Had the thing like new sitting in a drawer.

Also just got an email stating that they would charge me $250 as the Ipad was the 9.7 4th Gen. I called and spoke with a rep who apologized and stated that they would not chargeback the $250. I also got an emailing from them confirming no chargeback.

Just go on chat and they will manually approve the trade in. Too late I guess at this point if you already requested.

The rep knew that the iPads we are sending shouldn't qualify, but also knew that it states ipad 9.7 and what we sent are 9.7" iPads. Their own rejection email even states this so the rep had no problem approving it. I just said my email says it was rejected, but it says I sent a APPLE-IPAD-9.7-4TH-GENERATION. Once they saw that they just approved the trade in without me even asking. Seems this is standard policy at this point as he had some copy paste paragraphs ready to go.

They just said sorry for the inconvenience, but the iPad 9.7 listed is a more recent generation, they aren't accepting 4th gen iPads he said. But none of that mattered as he said the item matches what was requested from the customer perspective.

Hoping a deal like this comes back soon. Never had a tablet before until I bought a Fire HD 10 on Prime Day, and it's more useful than I expected. That one's quite good for the price, but now I really want a Galaxy Tab to complement my Galaxy phone. With the Tab S8 series due to be announced next month, there's bound to be more S7 deals right?
