Apple doesn't ask for any proof. Literally ANYONE can get the discount. The fine print, if I recall, even says parents can buy for themselves.

I bought online (MacBook Air + AirPods Pro) and tried to Just return the AirPods Pro in the store and they wouldn't let me so I had to do a full return and rebuy with the free AirPods

to confirm they wouldn't let you return just the airpods pro? that's a bummer as I don't really need the airpods so was hoping to be able to return them.

Yup, they told me there's no benefit of returning the AirPods Pro so i just opted to return and just keep the free AirPods.

Apple will price match up to 10%. Has anyone been to able to get Apple to price match the Best Buy student deal, and take an additional al 10% off of the current education pricing with free airpods?
