Would've been helpful for chase to notify over a month ago when it began but hey better late than never I guess
I know, weirdly enough I got this as an ad on Instagram...I don't see why Chase/Amazon didn't bother sending out an email on the offer but spends money advertising it on IG

FYI the Sam's Club mastercard always gets you 5% back at gas stations, 3% back on travel and restaurants too I think.
Yes on gas and dining. No on 3% for travel. That's not one of the categories. Also, obviously won't affect everybody, but the explicit condition of no cash back on gift cards is a deal breaker for me.
Citi Custom Cash automatically gives 5% to your highest spending category per month as long as it's one of the spending categories (grocery, gas, etc) so no setup needed. So during the months you're using CF/CFF for grocery or gas, etc, just use it for the Citi for other categories.
It is up to $500 per month though so you do lose some flexibility compared to BCP If you go over that threshold in a month let's say. But a minor problem and no annual fee.
$200 signup bonus on $750 spending. Mistakenly said $250 before.
Awesome thanks! Didn't know about this card. RE: Setup, was wondering if u could combine this with other citi cards for points (I have the Rewards+ points booster)?

Thanks, didn't know that. I've been looking into getting the citi shell gas card for the 0.10/gallon and then stack it with the tmobile 0.10/gallon very situational of course. With $3/gal gas that would give 6.66% back. If it went over $4/gal then Sam's would be better but let's hope that never happens.

Card just came out so some details are still up in the air. But when I say $200 signup bonus after $750 spending, that's actually $200 worth of ThankYou points, so yes combinable with other Citi ThankYou points based cards (premier/prestige, etc) and can be used for those redeem 1 ThankYou point get $10 off $40 on Amazon deals I never seem to get.
I personally never found ThankYou points as flexible or useful as Chase UR rewards, but might by more worthwhile for somebody more invested in the Citi portfolio of cards. I'll just use this for categories I'm not currently getting from Chase/Discover.

Also get 3% back at Sams club which they just added. They took away the 3% on airfare and hotels in its place.

Another option, buy shell gift cards from bestbuy, lowes, etc when there is 10% credit offer through amex, chase etc credit cards. That way you get more than 10cents off per gallon.
Per current $3/gallon, you get $0.30 + $0.10(tmobile) + $0.05(shell gold+) = $0.45.
I called chase and said I was getting an error when trying to activate this offer. He looked it up and said I was not given this offer and that the marketing time randomly sends these offers to customers and I was not chosen.
It's 6%, and there's also cashback on gas and 1% elswhere, plus all the Cashback offers, and your calculation doesn't take into account what people spend in those categories, so, nice try, but no, the chase isn't better
Plus the chase is 5% cash back for one qtr, not the whole yr.

I guess I'll stick to using the card on Amazon only.
