Interested to see if you can add a Trade-in on the web (save 20% and currently offering $30 more for my last generation 10" Fire Tablet) and then order with Alexa?
It looks like you can still load the Google Play Store on this new version of the tablet:

I mostly use mine for consuming content bought on Amazon. Prime Video, Audible and a ton of paid apps that were free back in the long gone era of the Free App per Day for their app store. Kindle books with lots of graphics work better than on my Paperwhite.
Alexa, order a Denim Fire HD 10 Tablet.
Alexa, order a Olive Fire HD 10 Tablet.
Alexa, order a Lavender Fire HD 10 Tablet.

Point is, everything adds up.
Those ports go bad as well which is a costly repair or you need to buy a new phone. Only happened to me once in 20 years.. but again forcing me to buy a new phone worse than the "extra" cost of wireless charging.
You can't just look at the negative and ignore everything else.
Update: Installed Alexa app in iPhone and I was able to order it at the discounted price.
for only $120 more if you can get a Tab S7, to me this is a NO BRAINER.
But I would still the the fire tablet for my 8yr old who has cracked every tablet she has ever owned... including the Fire HD10 2019.
Thanks.
Added alexa to an old android phone and it worked fine.

It's not an iPad, but at this price it's cheaper than the 9th gen was on BF 2019 and surely better than any generic sub $100 android 10" tablet you will find.
