AirPods are on sale for 99$ at Costco, so it's better to get this on Amazon instead of Apple store if you really don't care about the airpods.
WTF you talking about. Apple's edu price is same plus FREE regular AirPods. He just upgraded it to AirPods Pro for additional fee.

I had the 12.9 inch and returned it for the 11 inch. If anyone is looking for mobility, the 12.9 inch, to me felt too heavy to move around. Its best for it to be kept on a table or on a stand. But that's my opinion. The price for this is great though at this price.

I went the other way. Just was nonplussed with the 11 then got the 12.9 and wow is it just so gorgeous. Everything I do on it is just prettier and more enjoyable. The larger size is much more well suited for my work stuff and using a pencil also.

For school work such as taking notes, is the 12.9 better for that?

I would say so as long as you don't intend to hand hold it for long periods and you have enough desk space.

Is the iPad like a clipboard where I can easily take notes without a desk?

It doesn't sound that bad, but I wouldn't recommend it if you intend to hold it up while you write for a long period of time. It would be totally find to use on your lap if you're sitting down, though.

The 12.9 is stunning. However, the new 11 is also impressive and much more comfortable to hold for most people, especially for extended periods of of time.

The 11 will appeal more to those who typically use an iPad in traditional ways, like lounging around to play games, surf the net, email, travel, etc. The 12.9 will appeal more to those who use it on a stand or desk for work tasks or drawing.

For those on the fence, I recommend that you go to a store to actually hold both iPads and use them a bit to see which one you prefer.

It's an Apple product. People don't mind spending 1-2k on an iPad with more storage. This should have 1TB at this price, this is ridiculous. 256gb is nothing for pro work.

Apple doesn't use OLED on tablets yet, only Samsung really. The Microled had bloom issues on some 2021 iPads.
And that is why I am broke.

And I believe Samsung, Lenovo and Xiaomi (with mi pad 5 being released in 2 months) all have a OLED version.

Yes, micro-led but similar to Oled. Anyway the point is the 12" screen is much better.
Micro led is NOT similar to Oled.

That is like saying Android is similar to Apple.
