The different attachments can really add to the overall cost of ownership, and they aren't always compatible from version to version. I strongly recommend studying the different attachments for your uses, and then picking the best package.
If you're considering this why not just pick up the LG A9 refurb on eBay for around $243? Comes with 2 removable batteries, fluffy head roller, stand, multiple attachments.
I personally have a v15 and like it but it's overpriced as hell.

I've tested more vacuums than I care to admit and can say with 100% confidence, Dyson is not worth the price and value for dollar is the worst in its league.
While not the best performing vacuum, I've been using a LG A9, which, is vastly superior in not only performance, runtime, and value, but also comfort in the hand.
See comment below. Just last week I gave away 2 dyson handhelds (v8 and V11) to family and kept the A9. I also just returned a Samsung Jet 90 and clean station that I paid 190 for. In terms of comfort, performance, value, and noise level, the A9 is vastly superior to the Dyson v8 and v11. Also, the attachments are better quality.
