So what you're saying is, everyone who came into this thread because they thought it was relevant for them, should start getting rides from you instead? Cool, thanks for volunteering to drive us all!
Hahaha no I would much rather get to my destination sooner. If that person was driving me I'd be just as annoyed as driving the speed limit myself.
Ive bought 2 R7s and 1 R3 all from amazon warehouse (used good, like new or acceptable), they all showed up brand new, no evidence of use.
The R7 were $311 and the R3 was $189

do these get false positives frequently due to other cars (adaptive cruise, etc)? my escort 9500ix seems to get tons of signals on the highway.
No. That's why I gave up on my old Valentine for an R3...the newer tech can handle that 99% of the time. In fact, in a few years with the R3 I think I only had a few laser false alerts and nothing else.
I have the R3 and it's saved me from multiple encounters. KA band has that distinctive chirp thats similar to the police cruiser alert they use as a horn. And that's the alert that lets you know they are checking for speed. K band is the most common false alarm alert and is also used by the "check your speed"digital signs posted up on off ramp exits and construction zones. Got hit with a laser alert the other day from a trooper scanning. Always had enough time to adjust my pace to a safe cruising speed. I paid about $250 for it new and I'm thinking I'll buy another for my wife's car.

No, they don't use radar, they just time you between two known points and radio it down.
At least that's how it used to work

Comes in to just post a meaningless comment
The R3 isn't a great deal either, last frontpage deal was for a brand new one at $246.
Thumbs down.
