Good deal, thanks OP.

FYI

Good idea to do a clean install of Windows every now and again. That's why Microsoft has made it so easy (Start > Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > "Reset this PC") and 20 minutes later you are good to go.

Love still seeing this live after a couple of days have passed; GPU scalper prices are falling on eBay, and Dell can't quickly offload a gaming PC with a GPU two generations behind and CPU one behind for $800+ after taxes and hidden fees.

Probably referring to the subscription fees the other user mentioned couple of posts before.

I was referring to the person who said they have a 3060Ti.

That it is still 90w under recommended. There is only a ~60w difference in TDP on an i5 and i7 series. So, you are still more than likely getting throttled.
Once again, you need to read the footnotes for whatever GPU you are talking about.

For the 3060TI, the NVIDIA footnotes states the 600W are based on.....4 - Requirement is made based on PC configured with an Intel Core i9-10900K processor. A lower power rating may work depending on system configuration.

You can manually unselected warranty service and even specifically tell them not to include it, and it will be invoiced by name or disguised as fees. The much discussed GamersNexus youtube did a seekrette shahper expose video on the practice.

Oh you mean they don't do that specific thing after being called out on the biggest PC enthusiast channel in the world a couple of weeks ago for basically blatantly scamming customers? Hmmmn, nothing to see here then I guess. No need to check that invoice and calculate the subtotal yourself. Good luck telling them you won't pay for those random fees they add in it's place.

Totally, that foot note makes the 240w deficiency just disappear

3060ti GPU 200w Max + i5 10400F 65w max = 265w. Then you have 95 watts out of the 360W PSU left for the other components. I'm still confused where you are getting the 240w deficit from.

Edit - Also, Dell appears to be only offering the 3060ti option with a minimum 500w PSU config.

I was able to get Dell to issue a $50 coupon since they wouldn't take off the McAfee / Onsite service. IT was probably $60 once you add tax.

Pretty close recompense. It's good for 90 days, and worst case I'll order something small with it.

Final credits: $50 from Dell, $73ish for cashback, $120 from amex. $240+

For THIS price, yeah, I'm willing to tweak.

Word of warning to others who did this deal: check your invoice. I was super careful (I thought) about not signing up for any paid services or software but when I checked my invoice, I saw 2 things:

1 McAfee LiveSafe Consumer 12 Month Subscription $31.74
2 Onsite/In-Home Service After Remote Diagnosis, 1 Year $24.76

I was on hold for over 80min getting bounced around from department to department. I was also told that these were just line items and not actually charged items (which did not hold up when I added up the invoice and saw they were included in the subtotal). It makes me think that Dell does this intentionally with poor/confusing UI on the order form and then terrible customer service (enforced by crappy software the customer service is forced to use along with crappy international connection to India) to pocket the fees from people who do not notice or give up in frustration.

In the end, I was promised refunds for both things and it was more frustration than ~$56 is worth for myself. But if I share this with the community and it saves others from being ripped off by Dell, it seems more worth it. Check your Dell invoice and make sure you weren't charged either if you did this deal.
What is the number you called for? I am in the same boat, got bounced from department to department

Any people have same experience like me? I received this computer, when I connected to screen, it showed no signal, then I opened the PC case. I couldn't find the hard drive. I tried to contact the CS, they asked me to contact technical support, I email them and took photos to proof, they replied, they saw the system has been shipped with the hard drive, and gave me the CS contact info.... anyone has same issue?

Dell doesn't want to give me refund and they said those two items are mandatory
