Id wait. This thing just keeps dropping. Almost certain they'll be clearancing this thing out. $300-$400 would be my price point to buy.

About half of Microsoft's Surface lineup will be ineligible to upgrade to Windows 11, the company confirmed Thursday after announcing the new operating system.Microsoft didn't comment on why it was excluding many of its Surface devices from Windows 11, but the reason most likely corresponds with the minimum Windows 11 hardware requirements Customers can use the PC Health Check app to see if their device meets the minimum system requirements,

No one wants it

I wanted it until the reviews came out and I saw it. I hope they make a duo 2. I like the form factor. I think they need to use the strongest processor they can, beef up the battery, and maybe a little more pocket friendly.

Things always, especially now, are subject to change. But when the Duo came out there was a LOT of talk about the Duo 2 in development and at least a third iteration before moving on and I hope they stick to that.

People have been very quick to comment negatively on this device and to be fair there is a lot on the software and a little on the hardware that is wanting - but they have to remember this is a Gen1 device. There are lots of new tech that took the second or third iteration to hit their stride and I don't think the Duo is an exception - if you can look past the shortcomings they got ALOT right and the vision, when it comes through, is powerful.

There has been times I get frustrated with mine, but when those moments of flow occur using both screens or the many use forms, I see how dual screens is the next step and I cant wait for the Duo 2 (I do definitely hope on more powerful specs and a battery to match tho ๐Ÿ˜)!

TLDR;
$600 is a solid deal for a Gen1 glimpse into the future with real dual-screen devices (this and the Galaxy Fold, basically). But you have to really experience it for a while to see if its for you or not!

Oh I completely agree. Even looking at the Galaxy S1 and Note, those were pretty underwhelming. Don't even get me started on the first iPhone on edge only๐Ÿ˜‚
The starting price was flagship level and the processor, RAM, and camera (singular) were letdowns. I think $700-800 starting out would have sold this thing much better. I'm using an iPhone right now because the SE for $320 was too good to pass up without a contract but I've been on Android and iOS and Windows Phone (RIP) and miss fun phones. My Lumia 1520 was one of my favorite phones. I was hoping Microsoft would bring it home with this one and I hope they keep pushing forward with it.

I picked one up last week because I wanted to try something different. Every 2 years I get a new phone and its the same thing. Download all my app to the new slab of glass, put all my apps that use on the home screen and basically use it they was I was using my old phone. Surface Duo is interesting and I'm liking it so far.
