These things are very unlikely to happen again. WF got hit with tons of fees and penalties and invested hefty in their risk compliance departments This whole thing sent a shockwave across the industry that also benefited banks' employees. Tellers don't need to aggressively cross sell bank product anymore.

Good all-rounder for those looking for a generalist card and better than Apple Card for merchants who don't take Apple Pay (there are a sizable bunch). Points are awarded monthly and with a $25 minimum for statement credit or check back (Direct Deposit isn't possible unless you have a bank account with them). Wells Fargo's latest pay with points option (I think inspired by Chase Pay Yourself Back) can get around this threshold - redemption is 1 cent to 1 point and points balance must cover the entire amount (no partial offsets). Cell Phone Protection is a good plus, few cards offer a higher rewards rate on top of this perk.

Another thing - Wells Fargo act funny if you pay too many times a month online (I think over 3 payments blocks you from making online payments for the rest of the statement period), but you can always pay over the automated phone system if you exceed this limit.

FNBO also has a 2% cash back Visa with a pre-qualification link. Might be helpful for those who don't have perfect credit and are unsure if they'll get approved. It even tells you the credit limit they'll pre-qualify you for. I got approved yesterday; it'll be my highest limit card so far.

One big negative factor, as far as cash back cc goes, to get cash back into your WF account or credit towards your statement, it must be in $25 INCREMENTS. I have many cash back cards, for comparison, I already dislike my AMEX BLUE because it has a minimum amount before you can claim cash back, but it's still better because after the minimum, you can claim any amount. With this WF cash, you will eventually have some balance left over. They DID NOT state this in the fine prints or it was deceiving. You can use any amount of points to buy products from their category, but that's not the same! Also, the APP for WF is crappy AF, their transaction is also very delayed, takes several days to even post a "pending." Compared to say a Chase Freedom cc, the pending purchase shows almost instantly. I would not have gotten this if I knew bout the $25 increment for cash back!

I have the card and it isn't in $25 increments. The cash is credited every statement date for that month's charges.

You need to read again and make an accurate reply. To ACTUALLY redeem cash back to your account or as credit statement, the minimum claim is $25 and then in increments of $25 thereafter.

You're talking about the points earned from your purchases, yes that is shown at each monthly statement…like every cc in existence. It has nothing to do with claiming out your cash rewards.

You could still do statement credit like before and they are taking away minimum amount criteria to redeem.. I have Citi Double as well.. I don't think there's change in value or redemption..

ok thanks. i think i will wait a bit to see if it pops up. looks real but can't be so sure and no one has gotten paid from what i can tell. i see a similar usb offer in the past but i agree this one is pretty nice but it's weird this hasn't made fp or other forums like doc.
