These things are very unlikely to happen again. WF got hit with tons of fees and penalties and invested hefty in their risk compliance departments This whole thing sent a shockwave across the industry that also benefited banks' employees. Tellers don't need to aggressively cross sell bank product anymore.
Good all-rounder for those looking for a generalist card and better than Apple Card for merchants who don't take Apple Pay (there are a sizable bunch). Points are awarded monthly and with a $25 minimum for statement credit or check back (Direct Deposit isn't possible unless you have a bank account with them). Wells Fargo's latest pay with points option (I think inspired by Chase Pay Yourself Back) can get around this threshold - redemption is 1 cent to 1 point and points balance must cover the entire amount (no partial offsets). Cell Phone Protection is a good plus, few cards offer a higher rewards rate on top of this perk.

Another thing - Wells Fargo act funny if you pay too many times a month online (I think over 3 payments blocks you from making online payments for the rest of the statement period), but you can always pay over the automated phone system if you exceed this limit.
FNBO also has a 2% cash back Visa with a pre-qualification link. Might be helpful for those who don't have perfect credit and are unsure if they'll get approved. It even tells you the credit limit they'll pre-qualify you for. I got approved yesterday; it'll be my highest limit card so far.

Wells Fargo Autograph card officially announced. Bonus will be $300 with $1500 spend. Earns 3x points on dining, gas, travel, streaming & phone plans.

Basically like the old Propel Amex with some more 3x categories, but no extended warranty benefit.

It will be a Visa so hopefully it earns 3x on Costco gas.
When will this card be available?

How often can you use the protection plan? Is it like once a year?

I have WF another credit card that also has this benefit and I cracked my phone the rear side (iPhone 12 pro max) apple quoted me $599 for fixing it. The benefit paid me out within a week of me making the claim.

To answer your question the claim is 2 paid claims per 12 month period.

I read the cell phone coverage is changing. If you damaged your phone and the screen is cracked, but the phone still functions, then there is no claim. Phone had to be non functioning due to accident damage.

I noticed the announcement says "30,000 bonus rewards points" not $300. How does one go about getting the cash bonus?

Just was approved for this card. It will replace a card I have had 10 years with Capital One that paid 1.5% across the board. 2 is better than 1.

I have that Capital One QuickSilver Mastercard too. Since I have been using the card for more than 10 years, they upgraded it to World Elite Mastercard. Though 1.5% cash back only, the Price Protection benefit for World Elite Mastercard is really nice to have.

30,000 points × 1 cent = $300. Once the bonus shows up in your account you can redeem it for cash.

I have QuickSilver too since my HSBC weekend card was converted to Capital One Platinum probably in 2011. I didn't even notice that my card is now World Elite though the physical card still shows World only. Probably I will see it on the new card which replaces my expiring card.
Anyway, I think no foreign transaction fee is the key for me to keep QuickSilver after I have this 2% cashback card.
World Mastercard has protection already. But I can get either price protection with 1.5% back with QuickSilver or 2% back without protection with Active Cash. The added benefits added by Elite are mainly for traveling. Here's an article explaining benefits of World Elite Mastercard. https://www.rewardexpert.com/blog...rld-elite/

You can check your monthly statements (online PDF statement) and they should have shown yours is World Elite.

I wouldn't do anything with Wells Fargo.
They created millions of fraudulent accounts without consent, discriminated against Black and Hispanic borrowers (they settled). Of course other banks may have done this too but nothing like Wells Fargo.
(Please Google to find what happened if you don't know)

Also, this $200 is not even a deal. There are way better credit card deals.
The reason they are doing this is because $200 is still tempting for many in dire need of this amount, who statistically will likely be in a situation paying late fees and overdraft fees. Don't waste your precious credit for this company.

This is also why Wells Fargo only introduces these cheap deals. They will never bring deals like 80000 point for $3000, because these people will always pay on time and never incur fees for the bank. If you see the above mentioned deal from this company I'll delete this post.

Dishonest company.
