These things are very unlikely to happen again. WF got hit with tons of fees and penalties and invested hefty in their risk compliance departments This whole thing sent a shockwave across the industry that also benefited banks' employees. Tellers don't need to aggressively cross sell bank product anymore.
Good all-rounder for those looking for a generalist card and better than Apple Card for merchants who don't take Apple Pay (there are a sizable bunch). Points are awarded monthly and with a $25 minimum for statement credit or check back (Direct Deposit isn't possible unless you have a bank account with them). Wells Fargo's latest pay with points option (I think inspired by Chase Pay Yourself Back) can get around this threshold - redemption is 1 cent to 1 point and points balance must cover the entire amount (no partial offsets). Cell Phone Protection is a good plus, few cards offer a higher rewards rate on top of this perk.
Another thing - Wells Fargo act funny if you pay too many times a month online (I think over 3 payments blocks you from making online payments for the rest of the statement period), but you can always pay over the automated phone system if you exceed this limit.
FNBO also has a 2% cash back Visa with a pre-qualification link. Might be helpful for those who don't have perfect credit and are unsure if they'll get approved. It even tells you the credit limit they'll pre-qualify you for. I got approved yesterday; it'll be my highest limit card so far.
I don't about you guys but I recently applied a SoFi credit card and it is getting me 3% back for everything for the whole year. I think it cap at 12k spending total but still better than anything else. I also apply during a promotion period where you get 300 back after spending 3k within 3 months.
Does SoFi do a soft pull when applying for the CC? Thanks
I got this card in September and hit the $1,000 spend a couple weeks ago. No notice regarding my cash reward. Does it take a few billing cycles to post or something?
Applied and got approved instantly. I did have a credit score above 720. Had a big purchase so the promotional 0% apr is a boon with that sweet $200 credit and unlimited cashback. Got my $200 as credit a few weeks after the 1st billing cycle. Also, a nice perk for cell phone protection since one of my previous cards that had that dropped it. Overall, satisfied with this.
I hear you, BUT it wasn't just the top brass that was in on it, it included a lot of the employees... up and down the entire chain... and that is why the 3billion in fines is nothing compared to the ongoing issues they will have in regaining the trust of their clients or any future client...
I'm out...
The fees that were charged to WF was basically nothing. $3B is paltry considering they have made almost $80B this year.

Where do you think the 3 billion came from - let alone the 80 billion... but if you don't care about the integrity of the companies you deal with, go for it...
Recently got this card for the 0% intro APR for 15 months to help finance my wedding. One of the best cards if you're looking for a long 0% intro APR period.
You don't get the entire $200 cb. It is disbursed throughout., you only get $25/month or quarter. I forgot which. Plus to use your cb, it has to be in an increment of $25. If you have $19 cb, you'll need $6 to qualify for usage. It's not a good deal imo. Citicard 2% cb on all purchases is the best deal atm.
Be very careful if you've recently applied for the WF autograph. I was denied an application on this job despite a perfect credit report and credit score because I didn't have enough history with the autograph card. I was also not even entertained with a conversation about reconsideration and was told the history needed was undefined and completely arbitrary. Very unhappy with WF right now.

I think all CC is a hard pull.
I just did some digging and it's only a hard pull if you get approved for the card, otherwise its a soft pull.
Had a Capital One Savor card that offered 3% unlimited.. Also want to raise my APR to 27.7% Lmao 🤣🤣🤣
